Yes this is true about the threaded axle stubs. Even if you order one through Infiniti/Nissan they ALL come threaded. You could transfer over your axle stubs or you could also drill out the holes...

Good call Spooler. That is definitely rod knock, you can hear the double knock when it’s revved. Pull the lower oil pan and see what has accumulated.
