    Nope, I don't have a servo battery. Is it possible there isn't enough power for the motor? I have a metal gear servo...lol.. I wanted one that could turn easily on carpet and turn fast too. It came off a monster truck kit. I have a 2ch radio system and I think that's good enough.

    I so want to order something today.

    So which brushless system would I need? The motor cannot be any longer than 50mm in length.

    At 1st it was the Motor but not anymore. I took it apart and found a tiny screw inside..

    After testing it again, the ESC had lots of smoke coming from it. This whole time I could only steer the car but no forward or reverse movement. I test the motor by plugging a battery directly to it and it works fine.

    ohh.. only one battery. Not enough space for two.

    I got a 2 cell 7.4V 2200 mAh Turnigy Lipo battery. I checked a RC tech forum and other are using that too. I need to find a low cost brushed ESC with reverse. I can only find them in brushless. Maybe I should sell my 540 motor and pick up a brushless one?

    lol...lol

    Dude, you should just go to a hobby store, they will help you out. Every ECU is a little different. It's just on what the manufacture decides what color to use. My ECU goes
    Blue
    Yellow
    White.

    Okay..okay... I got the steering functions to work properly. The only thing is the motor now. The gears are fine, just something popped out but I fixed it.

    The motor has a red and black wire and the ESC has a blue and orange wire.

    Does it connect like this:
    red => orange
    black => blue

    Also, I can't get it tuned properly....like "th.trim"
