That's not corrosion. The timing chain cover is aluminum so it will get some build up on it but it's nothing to worry about. I clean mine by hand with a little machine polish and a microfiber towel...

Wow. I might have to revoke my wrench card. It was just hitting the electrical harness connected on the other side. Couldn't see it from where I was on the other side. I'm a moron. :)

Another update. I replaced the driver side wheel bearing and the rotor now has 0 run-out. Also the roaring noise when I veer to the right on the freeway is gone. Thanks everyone for all the input!
