Look up 73draggy on YouTube. He built his VR38 engine from a rejected/recalled long block. It's pretty neat with his attention to detail... almost OCD! I'd like to slowly build something like this on the side one day. It won't be anything too crazy - maybe a Stage 1 which can handle 600 whp or so.

When I was SC 465 whp 360tq I had no problem getting traction in warm weather from 2 gear 40 mph or so. One thing you have to remember is your suspension and tire set up play a key roll in traction....

I would imagine it's easier to keep from lighting up the tires with a SC simply because the power is linear. You don't have that massive torque spike over a short rpm range like the TT kits give....
