This engine very much prefers to be shifted at 3k-4k versus a lower speed. It is much smoother and the power delivery is better.

Kawasaki ZX6R. I was out all evening on it today, it's just more fun than my Z sitting in traffic light after light. I can get between the cars and beat those pesky red lights and keep going at speed...
