Got the car back, they did install the part mentioned above, though that part is not a complete harness. They found one or more sections of the harness that had chaffed, worn through the insulation...

I had heard the tops were being made, at least early on by Magna in Canada but can't confirm that.

This is really too bad. It's been a great car other than the now seemingly unending top issues. I don't know if this is just a first year 2010 issue or not, but Nissan should be taking some ownership...

I don't really have the technical skills to do this work myself, and for now the top is working after a big fight with Nissan. However, if I have further issues do you think a competent repair shop...

For those looking to proactively prevent top problem these guys sell anything you need to tackle line replacement and pump rebuilds. They sell better than stock replacement parts. Rebuild/Upgrade...
