Mine have only the dimmer wire, but no independent brightness setting...even when dimmed they are way brighter than the stock gauges. I'm gonna give it a try

Hmm... not sure how those work. My gauges have brightness settings and a dimmer wire (not wired).

It depends on your overall color scheme. If you don't plan to change it, then amber might work. Can you change the color? I can do it on mine.

Thanks! I was gonna go with defi but heard they are not very accurate, at least the boost gauge. I went with STRI for about $100 less each. I'm wondering if I should have bought amber instead of white though.

Wow nice. My gauges aren't the brightest, and it's a bit more blue than white. Someday I'll ditch it and go for Defi. As for your gauges, it depends on the spec of the LEDs on the gauges. It may be possible to get a more efficient and brighter LED. Another way is to change the LED driver circuit, but that's a bit more involving.

Hey man, what do you think? The white on the OEM cluster needs to be just one step brighter to match the white on the gauges, is there a way of doing this? New leds on the cluster?

Thanks man! It wasn't that bad and I love how now the only thing that stands out is the the nismo tach, it looks symmetrical! I'll take some better pics and send them to black cat customs.

Hey Phuong! I finally had time to do it yesteday, I did not want to just slap in there since I was afraid light was not gonna shine as bright and also I wanted to completely black out the visible part of the pod. Here are the pics! Thanks for the writeups, they helped a lot!
