    thanks man! i use the lowest iso possible, 200 for my nikon d40. as far as aperture, usually f4-f8 so the background focuses out. my biggest suggestion is to get a circular polarizing filter and take a lot of pictures, i mean a lot. one position and you could end up taking 20 shots at different settings. you should do that until you get familiar with what your surroundings call for, then you can take fewer shots to get it right.

    btw, i do post processing in photoshop.
