That's crazy lol the dealership actually told u the truth without giving u crap about your warranty? Yea I want to do that also along with landing strip led mod but I don't have the guts to do it myself...yea that's about what I paid somewhere around 2400 for rims and 1000 for tires...but I'm looking to get some more because these look small in my z... There's some hre's on the g35 forum that I want

Shouldn't be, I'd be more worried about getting pulled over w/ tinted tails....besides Corvettes are made with painted housings matching body....all that matters is if the light shows.

Cool now just get some chrome bulbs from the z store to replace that yellow and you'll be set. And pulling the tape off will probably leave residue, just like pulling the emblem off, but it won't mess up the paint.....u'll just have to clean it off with bug remover or something.

So did you do the lights already, how'd it turn out? Yes I think you can do it without sanding, but probably risk it chipping off easier...and Yes fangs come w/ tape already attached, you just peel protective sheet off and place on....I haven't gotten mine yet so not sure.

I suppose you can leave them on and do a real good tape job...I pulled them off also, didn't want to risks spraying the car. The normal tail lights aren't that hard to get off, it's just a process, but very easy as I've done it a couple times now when I wanted to make the lights darker. Look in the DIY for fog light install for how to do this. The 3rd break light on the other hand is a B$%$ and I gave up on it, and left unpainted.....Sanding the gloss off the red first helps the paint to stick easier.

Lol I painted the fangs myself....the carbon fiber one's I'm waiting on...those go over the stock fangs with 3M tape I believe. The lights were super easy....just search online for tinting tailights, I believe someone on here did a DIY in their journal also. Basically you sand them first, clean w/ alcohol, spray 3-6 coats of tint to your darkness preference, sand w/ 1500 grit paper, clear coat 3-4 coats, sand w/ 2000 grit paper, buff.

19" Work Varianza T1's w/ step lip from my old G35.....night shades light tint from autozone/oreilly/advance auto parts, etc.....they are a bit glossy after I sanded and buffed them...and my fangs are satin black for now...I have the carbon fiber one's coming in the mail soon tho.
