Very few members here would be caught dead putting a bra on a 370Z, so you might have trouble getting an answer to your question.

Just remember with the long tube intakes the front bumper needs to come off to service the filters. I agree they are the only way to go if changing from factory intake for power increase.

With your reference to being a shade tree mechanic it sounds like you have some wrenching skills. With that being said, I definitely wouldn't recommend paying someone to install the cold air...

Yes, an oil pressure gauge is important, it's unfortunate that Nissan only provided an idiot light that let's you know when you engine is likely already damaged beyond repair that there is no oil...
