Hello,
No, mine didn't have the Bose system. I had the stock radio that comes with the base model.

Initially, yes I did lose the steering wheel controls. I added the Swi-Jack steering adapter behind the head unit to restore the steering wheel controls. It only uses three wires and is easy to hook up.
