Kenwood Reverse Wire Connection to Factory Back Up Lights (Orange Wire)

Awesome! Just saved me 10 minutes looking for it on the service manual! so orange for the back up light. Does it matter left or right?

So doing this you wouldn't be able to turn the camera on when not in reverse, as an aux input - say watch what you pass?

Thats correct. The back up cam only comes on when it is put in reverse. My cam has two power inputs so I'm thinking of hooking the other one to a rocker switch so I can do what you are suggesting. I would mount the rocker switch in one of the three blank spots in the center console where the heated seat switches are on the touring model.

should just use a red T-Tap.... much easier to do.
