Door speaker connections. I used the fatory wiring and cut the factory plugs off. I then soldered new conectors onto the speaker wires. it saved having to run new wires from the head unit to the doors.

Noob questions: Is the connectors for the oem speakers different and will not plug in to aftermarket speakers?
    - Also, did you cut the end that plug into the oem stereo and connected it to the amp?

Yes, they are different. The factory speakers are molded into a housing that screws into the door. Some people have actually cut the factory speakers out of their housing (destroying them), installed aftermarket speakers in their place and wired them to the factory plugs but for me it was more work than it was worth.
