Thanks for the concern buddy, after 5 long weeks in the shop she's back up and operational, even better than before. I took the opportunity to have a few things done to her that I'd been putting off, namely shaving the rear emblems and getting JDM tailights. Now to order another Varis diffuser and she's good to go

No idea you got hit last May. The nice *** of the Z can be hypnotic. Specially for those who delivers pizza. Hope the car is back 100% and it was all cosmetic.

I've run into some financial issues lately, namely that my wife totaled her car. So for now I'm not putting any more money into the Z. The tune is fine for now, later on I'll get the cable and retune it myself. I have the Stillen G3 CAI, but I would like to switch it out for the Akuma one later on down the road. Make some vids when you get the exhaust, I'm stoked for you

So are you going to re tune or are you ok with it in the meantime? I'm sure there are pretty good and some well known tuners in FL. I do not have plans of tuning until my factory warranty expires. It is not cheap. Specialty Z charges a pretty penny for a tune. Any CAI planned or you have one already? I am going for a Takeda CAI before my FI arrives. Tony called me a yesterday saying he might be able to get my exhaust ready 1 week earlier but has to go to SEMA. I just cannot wait. It'll be sick with that new exhaust is installed. His shop will be doing the install.

nope, no loss in tq. It picked up everywhere actually. I can't remember the exact numbers off the top of my head but I think stock I was at 225tq and now I'm at 256tq, and the whole curve has been smoothed out pretty well. The tuner I took it too kinda sucked and didn't want to tune it very aggressively at all, kept saying the stock tune was the best blah blah blah. Also, when he gave me a cd that was supposed to have all my dyno's on it and my UpRev tuning map, he forgot all that and just put the last dyno he did Sooner or later I'll get it retuned by someone who actually knows what they're doing and hopefully get better numbers...

Thanks for the response. The hissing sounds like a common issue. Glad no rasp. Any loss in low end to mid range torque? As for the lip, it was a dealer who sold on eBay for $128 but was only 40 min away so he offered a $96 pick up price. When I got there it was the last one and had a slight blem underneath the lip were no one sees anything. When I complained about it and offered 50 he said the lowest he'll go out the door was 75. Having it painted was more expensive.

actually, I was just reading some of your other messages and you mentioned that you got the sunline rep lip on your car for $75? Where at? This is the one that I've been wanting, and that's a damn good price!

Hey axmea, I just now saw this, sorry bro. To answer your question, I love how it sounds. It has a very slight rasp, but not in a ricer civic way, it actually sounds more like a crotch rocket to me. The hiss is still there, and I'm honestly getting used to it, every one that hears me revving down the street thinks I'm turbo'ed lol. I just finished making a new video that might help you understand what I'm talking about, hope you like it

I have the non resonated CF TDX from FI on order and will be installed in late oct or Nov week 1. How does your set up perform and sound so far? Any raspiness? Hiss still around? Any low tone/rumble or does it sound like high revving high pitched F1? Not sure if you've seen videos and heard the Motordyne e370 exhaust and compared to FI but any thoughts on this? Thanks Huck.
