Thank you and Yes I did. Never read anything about a gap once you replace the oem knob with an aftermarket knob. I had to figure something out and this is what I came up with. The boot sits nicer and is uniformed on the creases. Some use a rubber washer on the outside between the knob and the boot I chose to use a rainex spray bottle as a collar to prop up the boot.
