Welp, he has already removed the trans, located the wiring short, and repaired it. He plans to put the trans back in and be back on the road for more testing this week. He’s just letting it sit a day...

I did a manual swap on my car, the worst part is installing the clutch pedal. If you didn’t move a couple pins from the BCM and IPDM then you will have the key light. Also reconfiguring the BCM...
