I ended up doing it. It's a direct replacement. There's no gap between the new knob and the old boot. Pretty good weight — shipping box says 2lbs but it's probably more like 1.5. If anyone else...

The old knob is looking worn down and I'm a big fan of keeping things looking OEM-ish. Does anyone know if she shift knob from the new Z would be a direct swap? It looks pretty nice. ...
