I suspect oil pump rotor if you had the revs turned up at all. That is the known week spot on that motor. Our Dailey Engineering dry sump was $3500 or so, you don't need to spend $6000.

I am looking at the mostly off the shelf Quaife 69G. It can be made with a 350HR bell housing which will fit a 370 block. It sounds like the only thing you will need is a driveshaft, and basic fab...
