I wanna do this so bad but dont know how

i did it on my accord...chips off pretty easy and youll have to redo it a lot to keep it looking good. just spend the extra $$ and have it painted....in my opinion.

Actually, my handles aren't chipping nor peeling off easily. I did them pretty well, so I don't have to spend more than $6 to paint them. Besides, if I ever get tired of them being black, I can just bring it back to original without any $$ involved..

As long as you use some good solvent to get all the grease and grime off the handles before you dip them you will be fine. Make sure they are clean and dry. Tape off the whole side of the car (damn near) so that overspray wont get everywhere. Do about 5-7 light coats. You can coat more but 5-7 should be good. Unmask and then peel the excess off. Wherever there is a hard line the dip will just peel off and break at that junction. Very easy and very durable. If you really want them to be permanent I would suggest powdercoating (mike the powdercoater on here does a great job)! :-) good luck.
