*NewYorkJon's Journal*

My 370Z is a 2009 Pearl White Base w/the Sports Package. My previous car was a 07 Civic SI which I traded in for the Z. The Z was purchased at Sutherlin Nissan in Ft.myers, FL, which is a great dealership with excellent customer service. I'm on this site pretty much everyday, and plan on modding my car alittle bit at a time, and will post plenty of pics/reviews as I go. With my ultimate goal being to go with a Stg.1 GTM supercharger + GT-R manifold + the VVEL tune.

Gotta start somewhere.

My first "mod" would have to be my $5 sunshade I purchased to protect the interior lol

Then I upgraded my headunit to a Kenwood DNX6140 with rearview back up camera and Ipod adapter; also installed my homelink auto dimming mirror

Then installed an AMS short shifter.

Got my custom Z mount for my radar detector and invisicord for a clean install

Got touring edition pedals installed

Then upgraded my ghetto sunshade to a covercraft custom fit version.

Proclip mounts for my phone.

Stillen license plate holder for when I move back to Cali!

Recently I installed a Stillen gen 3 intake. My first real performance mod.

Take your time and have fun modding!

NewYorkJon34 10-03-2009 08:33 PM

I'm going to knock 2 out this week and order the F.I. 18" cf exhaust + bluebat taillight tint

NewYorkJon34 10-03-2009 08:36 PM

I'm planing a Supercharger build, probably Stillen because I want more power in the lower rpms. Edit: thank god I never went with the stillen kit

sloterg 10-03-2009 09:03 PM

awesome.. goodluck with that..

Singularity 10-03-2009 09:10 PM

Cool stuff man! I have an '07 Si, probably making the jump to a Z in a year or so.

CrownR426 10-04-2009 04:58 PM

Were you orginally from nyc?
Post some pics!

NewYorkJon34 10-04-2009 09:03 PM

Pictures are up :)

nogoodname 10-04-2009 09:06 PM

get someone to install the overlays............ pain in the bum to install by urself

NewYorkJon34 10-04-2009 09:16 PM

When I graduated Culinary school, one of my instructors happened to be a mechanic and own his own shop with 2 lifts. He used to hook me up on installs. He is the only person I would trust to touch any of my cars. Plus I have already had him install taillight tint on my previous 2007 Civic SI and it came out perfect, so this car should not be a big deal for him

nogoodname 10-04-2009 09:18 PM

so, take lots of pics and make a D.I.Y on how to install things

NewYorkJon34 10-04-2009 09:23 PM

I def will, Im just waiting for BlueBat to respond to my e-mail so I could buy them. I'd like to get them in this week to have it installed ASAP.

nogoodname 10-04-2009 09:28 PM

which ones did you go with???

i saw the 6/10's and they are too light of a shade..........

like me and another G got heavy tinted tails... another G shows up and says "check my overlays".... i was like "what overlays"..... then we all look at my G

NewYorkJon34 10-04-2009 09:39 PM

I was thinking of actually getting the 6/10's, they don't look "that" light from Bluebat's pictures on this site. I thought it would look good on my Pearl White Z, unless you have a suggestion on alittle bit darker shade.

NewYorkJon34 10-04-2009 09:44 PM

What Shade % did you get? It looks dark but not too dark, which I am looking for. Is that tint or spray?

NewYorkJon34 10-21-2009 11:43 PM

Ok to update: I bought a set of BlueBatMobile's full tail light tint & third tail light tint in 6/10 shade. Also I am about 1 1/2 weeks away from recieving my Fast Intentions 18" CF Exhaust :)

NewYorkJon34 11-05-2009 10:55 PM

I just recieved the only current pair of Carbon Fiber door switch panels, install pics coming soon...

dspiel 12-13-2009 08:17 PM

the 370z seat belt cover is a little tacky..but I dig your white 370 =)

NewYorkJon34 04-10-2010 09:32 AM

Sry for the long delay on the Journal, the job market hit me hard for awhile, but i'm back on my feet & the mods are def going to start to increase. I signed up as a premium member & recieved decal set #2. http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/27b3d413.jpg http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/afe690e7.jpg

NewYorkJon34 04-10-2010 09:41 AM

Also should have posted this awhile ago: http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/31411f30.jpg Both Door Switch panels have OEM Pieces wraped in real Carbon Fiber.

NewYorkJon34 04-10-2010 10:01 AM

I also cleared the rear "egg yolk" with the clear bulbs from the Z Store. I have a set of BlueBatMobile's gtr style tint in his 6/10 shade sitting in my room waiting to be installed as soon as my installer gets back in town. Plus I have a special suprise coming from Stillen this week, tons of Pics coming soon...;)

nice! pearl white is the way to go!
good luck with all the mods.

NewYorkJon34 09-03-2010 05:51 PM

Update: So I oredered the Z1 brake lines & ams short shifter awhile back. I was pretty unhappy with both products so I ordereed GoodRidge SS lines with 4 bottles of Motul RBF 600http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/53348a32.jpghttp://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/c6c4347b.jpg & the TWM Short Shifter Kit. http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/56337e7a.jpg http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/w...4/67b142ef.jpg

Boost_lee 09-24-2010 02:02 AM

Jon, how do you like the TWM SS? How much did it run you, and where did you order?

NewYorkJon34 09-24-2010 07:07 AM

I Love it bro, I had the AMS SS and the TWM is soo much better/higher quality then that. They only sell it at the TWM site tho, it was like $250 and takes like an hour to install. I highly recommend it

Boost_lee 09-25-2010 02:09 PM

Thanks, I'll add it to the wish list.

NewYorkJon34 10-02-2010 05:34 PM

NewYorkJon34 02-23-2011 06:55 AM
