JK! congrats on that  lol |
haha, Jon, M3 wont be out for another 2 years!
You should sell the headers and get the GTM Stage 2. It makes no sense to buy the stage 1... |
Lol, tell that to the guys that have 20,000+ posts

Now with that said, I guess BMW is going with a V6TT instead of the Tri-Turbo from the latest reports which could change. You see instead of an M3 coupe, they will just make an upgraded "M4" coupe? Interesting, but I want a V8. I have had thoughts of getting the new 2011 STI sedan & heavily modding it, but unsure if I will be happy in the end. |
Well what happened was that BMW decided to make the odd numbers sedans and the even numbers coupes and convertibles. So the M3 coupe will now be called the M4. Its simply a name change more than anything.
My money is on a TT V6 derived directly from the TTV8 in the M5. just chop off two cylinders. If you are going to go with the corvette, then why waste your money supercharging the Z in the first place. Keep it reliable and very daily drivable. Put the money towards headers/exhaust/cams on the vette! Or do something about the interior... |

IMO the Z06 interior is not that bad, on par with the 370Z. I can have my friend Tony@CFElement change some interior pieces & there are pretty nice aftermarket carbon steering wheels available. |
Apparently bmw is still thinking triturbo after all....BMW Patents Its Electric Turbocharger Technology. Could See Tri-Turbo Application. - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32) | F30POST
Its nowhere near on par with the 370z. If it were I'd be cruising around in a z06 already. The new one supposedly has a nicer interior... |
Damn, if it's a Tri-turbo I'm going to seriously consider that over a Z06. I can't even imagine what that M3/M4 would put out with bolt-ons + tune.

Ready to be installed tomorrow ;)

Very excited to hear your thoughts Jon! I've been looking for ways to make the chassis a bit sharper and this is supposedly one of the best options.
|
BTW....I was looking at a stage 2 GTM kit in person and there's no reason I could see that the LTH's don't fit as any other normal exhaust would. Wonder why people are saying they don't work....:stirthepot:

Thank you soo much Scott@FontanaNissan
Nismo Brace Kit Review: Ok, so after driving the car hard for the last 2 days, I can say i'm in love again, lol Its not a placebo effect, as you could feel the the bars at work during hard cornering, hitting the onramp at speed for example, you could feel the car tightening up. Its like you could feel the bars transfering the load during cornering. Traction has improved but the traction light comes on alil more (not a big deal tho). The Z feels more planted, and really makes the car much more fun to drive fast. Confindence is improved as when taking a corner at greater speeds the car just holds so well that it makes you want to go faster. I can say without a doubt bodyroll/understeer is 99% eliminated, and side to side motion is greatly reduced. The whole car just feels tighter without reducing ride quality. I truly understand now how important chassis stiffening parts are, as the whole car feels complete and all the parts are acting as a whole. The only weak point now would be the tires, lol I have the hankook v12's but will be switching to RE-11's in the near future. Im also thinking of switching to the amuse rear bar to add a tiny bit more support, as for the GTspec braces I really dont think i'll need those as this kit is pretty complete & the car feels soo balanced. Next to my KW V3's, this is the best suspension part ive bought. If I missed something or you guys have any other questions, dont be shy to ask  |
not bad.
