Looking forward to seeing the black then. Nothing pops like paint why I just can't get myself to vinyl my car as I want it to pop like paint my reading has me concluding that most people don't like a full gloss black wrap.

How long does a wrap last?

On average a good wrap would last you about 4 years, some manufacturers like 3M offer warranties up to 7 years.

And how does the color look in person. I've never seen a good wrap locally and have always been curious. I'd love a yellow Z but it seems impossible

Well there's differences between an expensive wrap and a cheap wrap. Expensive wraps in many cases take a full day of cleaning to ensure a clean long lasting job. When a company does it for a cheap price, they usually aim to wrap the vehicle in 1-2 days to maximize the minimal profit they're after. This usually leads to "cutting corners" and also careless installation problems. In an undertrained and "cheaper" installer can make costly mistakes such as cutting the paint of the vehicle underneath the vinyl wrap or leaving areas of the factory paint color exposed (which looks bad). An expensive and more professional wrap job should be of a seamless bubble free installation. The corners should look clean and all areas of existing paint color should not be visible.

So basically in other words it would look great in person if you get a good brand and installer to put it on for you.

Exactly. I went the cheap route originally when I got my roof wrapped black, and it looked like electrical tape. It was not pretty. Justin's wraps are absolutely amazing! When it comes to something like this, it's definitely wort it to save up the extra money and have a good installer do it.

Also, you can hand wax the gloss wraps like paint, thereby extending the life and shine.
Additionally, my headlights were done originally by nut_n_much, then further modified by my friend aj. |
