After having the car static for close to 2 months and having to daily the car like that was a pain in my *** so I decided I wanted bags. So after hours and hours of research, I had decided to just convert my bc coilovers to a bag-over setup. I decided to go with bagriders.com they had a great kit and had some awesome customer service. I ended up doing the accuair elevel set up for management and the aero sport bags from UA.
Install was pretty simple. Aside from wiring which is my weakness. I don't know **** about it. Got most of the lines ran and the wiring done. Got all my stuff run now I just needed to ad the bags in and the elevel sensors The next day I had a buddy help me with my elevel sensors. Also got my tank set up for temporary Car lays out on all four corners |

Sold my weds and bought another set of kranze lxz
19x10.5 -24 5.5 inch lip 19x12 -54 7.5 inch lip And for the test fit..... Well it didn't go well. They not only didn't clear my brakes but after adding a spacer to clear my bbk they now didn't clear the fenders So after a 25mm spacer in the front and a 5mm in the rear the new specs were 19x10.5 -49 19x12 -59 The front aired out poked 2 3/4 inches. After adding a spc camber kit. It didn't help at all. And the rear |

Over the next few weeks I put tires and a camber kit in to see if I can just full the sh*t out of the fenders and make it happen. That too didn't work. I wasn't getting enough camber aired out and I wasn't getting enough pull due to the way the inner fender well in in the rear of the z. It won't allow for that much pull without cutting and rewelding.

After sitting for a week while I decided whether to relip the wheels or have a professional body shop cut and pull the fenders to fit I finally made up my mind
I took the car down to a local shop here in utah that does custom body work. I had seen some of their work before and I had known that they were a good quality shop that I can trust. I took the car on my day off to get a bid for the work and tell him what I wanted. Also told him I wanted to run even wider wheels in the future so i was even considering doing a full metal widebody. I had never seen it done and i knew that with the rocket bunny kit coming out that it will be done on a lot of cars and become a pretty standard kit. So I wanted something 100% custom and 1 off. I dropped the car off the next week. After a week went by I went down to check out the progress on the car. The front fenders were cut. |
