Need to make a call to see when I can get my car back on the dyno at the tuner.
He said it would only be a half day of tuning since 80-90% is done, but also with the finish is throwing in new plugs. Keep going back & forth on what to order. I think I have the OEM Nissan GT-R ones since years ago HKS & NGK were all on back order and we just used those since they were the same basically.

As usual I am late to reading this congrats on the built excellent work:tup:

I was running the NGK GTR plugs but ran into some issues with them, number 6 cylinder plug cracked some porcelain (not because of over timing), we've been having issues w/ the NGK's for sometime. I switched to a set of the Denso's and Mr. Bergenholtz re-gaped them to 22. Car is running strong rite now with no issues. Gettn sidewayz w/ ease :) I've had her on the road for 5 days now, from Houston to San Antonio and now I'm in Austin. I'll probably head back to Houston tomorrow or Thursday. I'll hit you up!

I'll be starting the next stage of the build soon for that hi boost E85!

I'll also ask JTran about the exhaust issue you texted me w/ today. Super busy day w/ work!

Sounds good bud. I talked to Eric today. I'm going to run by Saturday morning to discuss with JTran. I know he can do what I need juat wasn't sure if he'd tell me I'd should just take it to an exhaust shop.

I'm more comfortable with him since its turbo downpipe related and he does turbo systems.

It'll a short stay as we have to be a bday party that afternoon.

Word...I'll hit you up when I head that way. Hopefully there will be a lift opened so we can take a look and also go over the mod I'm kicking around in my head.

Ok, looks like for the basic boosted guys sticking with the OEM GTR plugs is a solid bet.
Time to find a place to order them.

jwick 04-30-2014 01:00 PM

Looks like I spoke to soon as I've still got an oil leak. Sasha's top notch customer service has me lined up for the replacement part for Friday. I should (fingers crossed) have everything back together Saturday.

Chuck33079 04-30-2014 01:01 PM

At least it's a new and different oil leak :rofl2:

AN swivel fittings at the block adapter

jwick 04-30-2014 01:48 PM

If yours aren't leaking I recommend never touching them again. I think the problem is they are swivel fittings. I don't think there would be a leak issue if they were hard 90s. I realize it makes installation easier but also opens up leak points.
