update my red kevlar console is finally here.... the stupid mail man literally left it in FRONT of my house yesterday :shakes head: its a damn good thing i walked my dog this morning because i would have not known it was there all along since yesterday....

only thing left im still waiting for is my TS cover but im in no hurry.... even if rhd says 4-6 weeks im expecting 2-3 months wait... its ok though itll be worth the wait.... :tup:update on my next mod.... ive been saving up now and i finally had enough money to order something again so  i was gonna order the password jdm bat covers V2 from ebay... and then one of the FML moments happened.... so this morning i noticed the bed was wet because of the aircon leaking.... i was like hmmm... i just bought this thing like 2-3 months ago... wtf is it doing that? so i go to the back of it and look wats up... and i see all the water from the condensation is just pooling up all inside of the aircon... STUPID GE didnt put a hole so the water could escape... i installed the aircon tilting backwards a bit already but i guess the angle wasnt enough... and i dont feel like jackhammering the top of the wall so i could tilt it more ,so the only solution is to drill a hole.... i figure hey, ill just drill a small 1/8 hole should be enough to let the water leak out.... so i grab my cordless drill slap on a 1/8 drill bit and drill in the most corner part so i wouldnt hit any vital part of the aircon... and BOOM.... i guess the condenser core was all the way up on that corner also and even if i was drilling as careful and as slowly as i could, i still poked a hole on the condenser also ..... all the freon spewed out!!!! lucky thing it didnt go on me...so now the money i saved will go to another AC.... sh!t wat a waste..... :shakes head: the funny part of this was it happened 5 mins after i found my package in the front of my house... i was all smiles and then decided to do the drilling and what a great way to start my day...

simota1 04-29-2012 07:15 AM

first off... my stupidity.... now i only took a after shot of the spring and not the part of the bushing which i kinked because at the time it occured it was no laughing manner lol... i was pissed beyond belief. the second photo is a pic of the dremel burr i used to grind away as much of the metal i kinked inward....now picture number 3 when the dremel failed because i could no longer maneuver it inward to get more of the blockage out.. i resulted in cave man technique.. i broke a file just so i could file the bushing in and out with the piece i broke off...i spent an hour doing this... i wanted to break that bushing off lol
