well here is a picture of my issue... you guys can see what i mean by its wayyyy off.... i should be able to fix this problem though ;) i had given up hope and was thinking of cutting the bars to fit and re welding them.... i asked one of my most experienced master welder friends to come by at my shop, after he saw it he said dont cut it... there is no way we can replicate the burn and on top of that titanium doesnt like getting welded twice or getting heated at all "insert boring welding talk between me and my friend here" so i was back to square one... sad and frustrated at my bars that it would not fit.... so i called one of my machinists over and showed him my problem... after he looked at it... and in about 15 mins he goes... boss we can make this work... i looked him and said how there is barely no space for a bracket the studs are only like a inch and a half long and if we bolt down a spacer it would rise and my hood wont close... not to mention the plastic cant cover anymore... the man leans over and says... well just take this piece out boss.... brothers i never knew that there was a factory spacer on the mount for the studs  "insert boring convo with my machinist here" viola a SS spacer which will bolt onto the studs like the factory spacers and will have build in studs for the top secret bars, the man is an absolute GENIUS... lol now its just time for the waiting game... i needa wait for my dad to go vacation again and then me and my machinist will fabricate that bracket ;) :happydance: im freaking stoked.... as for my varis hood... i figured a way to cut the rain gutters... some fiberglassing and it should clear... alot of work ahead of me though.... :ugh2: but i should be able to keep both the loves of my life.... varis and top secret lol |

I am all for having unique parts, but it seems some of the famous JDM companies have stopped innovating and just producing parts because it makes them money now. |

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...64781093_n.jpg powerhouse amuse :) my pinky is holding up the y pipe... ;) :happydance: |
This is why I dont really care for JDM parts, they always have quality issues and then you can never do anything about it cause there is no way to communicate with them. All my experience with JDM parts have been extremely bad unless its come directly from the NISMO factory.
That being said and out of the way, these pieces do look gorgeous from your pics. I just wish, for you, that these companies actually sold quality controlled parts, you shouldnt have to deal with this for such a beautifully crafted piece of art! They are suppose to go on your car not on a wall lol |

and for everyones reference i knew about the fitment issue of the bar before i purchased it.... it was something i was prepared to fix prior to the purchase... i will admit though i was somewhat hopeful they were wrong |

well i couldnt wait till the weekend to go to my friends shop and use his lift for changing out the y pipe... so i just did it at home ;) man was it TIGHT in there lol.... one thing i hate about our z's is how low they are to the floor and not to mention the damn amuse sides being so low also.. :shakes head: but the hour spent cramming myself under there was totally worth it... i knew that a y pipe would make my z sound louder but MAN... it made it LOUDER...when you first start the z before it was like click click pussy sound now its like a click click growl.... but it gets quiet when the motor warms up... i cant wait to hear my motor when its under load :happydance: and my mind is going bonkers right now imagining how the real amuse exhaust will sound (the one with one resonator dual exit) rather than the POS stock exhaust i have right now... should sound crisp.... i was gonna take a picture of the y pipe installed... but the ugly burnt to a crisp stillen high flow cats totally ruined the site of the beautiful amuse.... im thinking of still replacing those one day... maybe some central 20 high flow cats.... to definitely keep the JDM love under there ;)
