Gotcha. Well what ever you go with I'm sure it'll look great. I actually ordered an aluminum aftermarket tank from LCRAutowerks two weeks ago or I'd be all over that ARC tank.
BTW I have the same intakes and decided to use red couplers over the blue, it would prolly look good for you as we'll. I included a pic below. One more thing. I noticed you have the NRG titanium washers. How well do they look with the intakes? I bought Password JDM's washers and they are terrible. Attachment 70705 |

as for the bolts... BRO i had password jdm bolts.... and ummm they were ok... but again i think they didnt really flow with the set up so i sold them and then put back my old nrg ones since i threw all my stock fender bolts away :bowrofl: the gold on the nrg bolts matches the gold in the TS emblem on the EC  but i wanted to be all over the titanium theme so i opted for the titanium burnt ones from moddiction... i hope and pray that these will be my last set... ive wasted so much money fiddling with different set ups in my engine bay :shakes head: |
o and another thing... i think the red hoses look great in your bay because ur engine bay is like a dark gray... mine is turning to like a weird dark maroon kinda shade.... really really ugly when you put the red hoses up against it... stupid morons at nissan for not clearing the engine bays of our carz...
|
I'm curious, Did you try using those NRG washers in place of the plastic rivets? They come with adapters don't they? I'd love to use those of my radiator cover.
|
crap is that what those thingys were?!? i thought they were only packaging nuts to hold the nrg washers and bolts down DOH!!!!!
|
:icon18:
|
today i changed out more of my engine bolts to SS cap screw allen bolts (same ones i used on my power steering bolts)... and i just realized that it matched the TS hardware on the intakes :D together with the engine titanium bolts coming in... i will truely be complete and done with this step  so far i did....
fuel regulator bolts fuel regulator mount bolt knock sensor bolts hood nuts they are all grade 5 SS bolts more than enough strength for those areas i put them in..... im really happy with the outcome... i cant wait till the rest of the bolts arrive and also more engine aesthetics mods :happydance: |
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...73366116_n.jpg
and i realize... you cant even notice i changed the bolts in those regions i just mentioned... LOL well ill take up close pics tomorrow... look at the regulator shine though... nothing puts a shine like mothers metal polish ;) |
also i need your opinion guys.. imma change out my hoses.... to samco... im thinking of getting "silver" because no one is running it on the forum  everyone does the red blue black hoses.... i think silver would add a lil contrast right? or just keep that stealth black look and go black samco hoses
|
Damn that engine looks good!

i havent seen it, like you said most are black, blue or red. Gun metal would look way better with your carbon fiber, just like your grounding kit.
|
btw, i think Samco hoses are hard to come by (not sure why). I talked to Z1 when i was looking for couplers to match their hoses for my intakes and they can get Samco products. If you find somewhere else that supplies them post them here.
|
i repped you wiggins

Not yet...:stirthepot: |
well i got a official qoute for the samco hoses... and holey jesus... and its confirmed itll run me about $500 bucks PLUS SHIPPING to do the gun metal option... :ugh2: this would include the 2 upper and lower... 2 overflow tank hoses and 4 couplers.... for my intake... with a beautiful wait time of 6-8 weeks :( i was thinking going all samco rubber in the bay.... apparently the couplers are like 50 bucks each.... i needa rethink these... i just saw the GB for NST pulleys... god im so tempted!!!! but i gotta keep myself in check and make sure im not overspending i needa make sure i have enough money for the shipping for the varis hood... and i plan on painting it right away also when it arrives so id like to set my priorities straight...
install varis hood and paint it install craftsquare mirrors down payment to top secret titan strut bar and i am still waiting on how much top secret wants me to down on the titan bar.... so i better have some reserves that way the minute they pull a number ill just shoot them the money so they cant change their minds ;) here is the email i got from the freight forwarder Hi Jon, Please see tentative schedule below: Vessel: Kyowa Cattleya V133 ETD KOBE: 06/22 ETA GUAM: 07/01 JULY 1st!!!!! is the official date for the varis hood :happydance: apparently it actually missed the boat that it was suppose to be on... :shakes head: someone messed up..... but as long as i got a solid date to wait for it  its all good with me |
You may wanna check z1 for the couplers, they quoted me $10 each for the samco red. Now given the gunmetal is a "special color" that may have something to do with the increased cost. Just a thought.

my titanium bolts came in.... overall im impressed by the burn and how clean they all are... absolutely beautiful.... only 5 days till they arrived :happydance: i can say hands down this transaction with moddiction was smooth as butter.... no one week to two week wait for a reply like dress up bolts... also in my journey to find more nicer couplers over my black ones.... preferably the ones with the "hump" like on the samco or also can be seen on the ARC savra intakes i found these couplers when i was snooping around.... tell me what you guys think i think these should pull in nicely with the samco gunmetal hoses and also with the clear top secret hoses that are with the oil catch cans..... Hump Hose 2 75" ID Silicone w Gray Carbon Fiber Look 5 Ply Coupler | eBay i think they would look great with my set up.... let me know what you guys think ;) also ill post pics tomorrow of my bolts installed... i wasnt really wowed after i installed them because i couldnt see their beauty no more thanks to lack of lighting :ugh2: |
Love the bolts, the coupler looks good and should match well.

just ordered a JDM key fob holder :happydance: from a member on the forum thanks Roadster4Us http://www.the370z.com/members/roads...8-img-1992.jpg and ill be ordering some gray samco hoses this week... one of the vendors on here actually had it in stock... what luck :D i cant wait for it.... along with those cf look couplers and some overflow tank hoses... i believe my bay will be OFFICIALLY complete minus my damn pending top secret parts SMH |
id like to share an interesting story with you guys....
i get a letter from nissan telling me my z has a recall.... "corrosion may form in the steering column joint. if vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, over time, it may lead to cracking of the steering shaft during low speed manuevers. In an extreme case where large steering inputs are required, the steering shaft may break, if this happens it may result in a loss of steering control and cause an accident" so im like crap...... the stealership has to touch my car.... i call em up and say can they just give me the parts and ill install it myself... as many of you know im pretty over protective with my z :icon17: so i dont just let anybody touch or work on her, then they tell me they have no idea what the hell im talking about? i was like you guys sent me a letter stating all of this, they tell me im wrong and i didnt read it right... i hang up the phone and call my friend he tells me that the only recall that the 370z has is the steering lock failure.... they then ask the person who sent me the letter.... apparently the lady copy and pasted a recall for a frontier.... :roflpuke2:  so whats the point of this useless story? well its that this forum has always warned me and helped me trouble shoot any problems whatsoever with my z.... i disabled my steering lock 2 years before they sent me a letter about it warning me  thats why i love this forum so much its kinda like a double edged sword... it helps me save lots of money.... BUT also helps me spend lots of money on making my z look nice :bowrofl: |
