shibuku of TOP SECRET has replied to daytona racing and said that he will consider making the TITAN BAR for my z :happydance:

i felt like doing a cartwheel haha

once they give me a confirmed price i will order it ASAP just so they know im SERIOUS and wont change there minds....

i also asked daytona if they think that amuse would discontinue their TITAN exhaust and he said no... since ive noticed that titanium parts for the 370z are pretty much all getting discontinued.... he said that the amuse titan exhaust is very famous in japan so they will continue to produce it for a while  that gives me time to save up haha....

wheee! 06-06-2013 02:18 PM

I have a custom can made to cover the power steering fluid container and I have wrapped it in CF Vinyl. I will post a pic with it so you can see. Looks good!

simota1 06-06-2013 03:10 PM

simota1 06-07-2013 06:13 AM

didnt get to take pics today.... :shakes head: i did however buy some nice allan head cap screws and took off the flanged bolts that hold the reservior

my hood is officially in kobe japan awaiting the next ship going to guam :happydance: freight forwarders told me 1-2 weeks at the most... actually the lady told me 6 days... but because of customs and other bull crap... she said the longest is 2 weeks... which i totally dont mind at all.....

top secret.... :shakes head: still flaking me with those titan oil catch cans.... but ill wait..... its already to late for a dispute :bowrofl: but i tottally know im in good hands with daytona so no worries here

ive made up my mind with which bolts i am gonna use for my engine bolts :) im gonna go with moddiction burned titanium bolts... ive contacted dress up bolts about doing a burned look but they just gave me the silent treatment...

moddiction has been very fast to reply and helpful on facebook... highly recommended

ill be removing my red grounding kit and probably making a smoked color one or just a plain gray one.... depends which color they have at the sound shop... ill also be removing the red hoses and swapping them out to black later down the line

here is a pic of the moddiction fender washers im buying

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...5/DSC_0706.jpg

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...5/DSC_0767.jpg

If you end up taking the red grounding kit off let me know... im in the market for one. Quick question on the TS Oil Catch Cans, I've talked to a few places and it seems they dont actually make 370z specific cans and everyone keeps telling me they are universal. Makes sense to me, however when you look at member on the forum with the cans they look to be different than those seen on some sites. Do you know anything about this?

As for the dress up bolts, solid choice I contacted dress up bolts a few weeks back and like you said their service was less than stellar. Ended up buying some Password JDM bolts and well, let me just say the quality is about that same as I hear about their other products :shakes head:. May have to go with moddiction when I buy replacements.

Most oil catch cans are "universal" in the sense the cans will work on most any car.
What matters is can they be mounted/fitted in the engine bay properly (cleanly), and the hoses & routing is done properly. There are a few local guys who bought the universal cans and cut/fitted their own lines and they run great.

GaleForce 06-07-2013 08:31 AM

Jon, I need the details for the bolt dress up kits. I was going to order from Dress Up Bolts...

Also, AAM is making a sweet catch can set-up might want to check it out.

I get the universal aspect and it makes sense, however I know I've seen TS oil catch cans with three inlets, where as I keep seeing distributers with TS cans that have two (which seems most common). Check out 370Ztune.com or japanparts.com and you'll see what I mean. I think its zuperman 370 that has the TS catch cans im looking for.

Seems a shame to burn the solid gold nuts and flanges, but hey! When you've got a gold mine.... :ugh:

see this was my original problem... the first time i asked daytona racing about this... he told me they dont make it, after i persisted that they DID make it and i sent him pics he talked to top secret and then they said its a custom set up thats why it takes "2 months delivery time", im pretty much at 3 months.... my guess is that they probably made a few but it didnt sell much cuz realistically a oil catch can set up for $500 plus bucks is outrageous.... so they stopped advertising it in japan....

the 3 inlets are what make it 370z specific..... zuperman370 indeed does have the top secret oil catch cans... ive actually begged to buy them from him because he said he took them out after the install of the FI system.... at first he said definitely  after i asked him to take pics first to make sure there was no damage before i send him the money and then he started ignoring my pm's :ugh2::confused: i waited about a month before i said faq it im going direct to top secret japan.....

hey thanks for the link bro... but i think ill wait still for the top secret ones.... i think its to late to turn back....for some odd reason i was thinking the overflow tank.... my brain just farted when i read your post... haha

simota1 06-08-2013 09:06 AM

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...28751879_n.jpg

so heres the pic of my PS reservior tank........ sorry it took long to post a pic... i had the cap machined..... it use to say "Z" but it was a 350z "Z" it had the dots on it...... so i told one of my machinists to machine off the engraved z ;) i think it looks great and matches my coolant overflow tank cap....

i just placed the order about 5 minutes ago for 10 burnt titanium bolts from moddiction and also 2 burnt titanium strut flanged nuts.... ive contacted him on FB to try and find me some strut tower bolts  im pretty stoked!!!!

ANNNDDDDD!!!! i swapped out my grounding kit... took out the red and bought some 4 gauge wire.... the color i chose is graphite  freaking looks so much cleaner then the red wires before and pulls in nicely with my top secret set up...

ill probably swap out all my red radiator hoses and overflow tank hoses to all black samco hoses ;) its not JDM but i think its the best quality hoses... after all they only make hoses :happydance:

after i install the varis hood imma leave the underside black and only paint the top part red that way when i leave my hood open people wont get distracted by the shiny red underside of the hood.... i think itll make all the titanium in my bay POP like crazy... ive been also debating on changing back my black couplers on my intakes to the baby blue ones.... i feel that ever since i changed out the couplers to black ones the intakes dont pop out as much... i think itll be a great accent and pulls in very nicely with the TI strut bar from top secret... well see...

anyways ill take pics tomorrow morning of my grounding kit...i am really happy how it turned out

scZdc 06-08-2013 09:25 AM

pretty sick.

hi iwan :hello: its pretty much like a stillen one... BUT i use better bigger wires and made it less spaghetti wire status by taking out the excess  its a 6 point grounding kit that i make my self ;)

ive had a stillen one in the past and the "red" wire faded like hell in less then a year and it was sooo long in some areas....
