as far as the pillars... he said he would replace it.... however he didnt really give me a definite answer with the cracked intake shroud... feels like he is going around the bush with that one.... he told me he would take it to ups and see what they would do.... so ill just play the patient key.... if my TS strut bar is here and still no answer or replacement on my TS parts from baker (3months from now) i will definitely make another thread to warn people.... but till then i will stay neutral.... you and another person told me they are moving so ill give them a little slack....

:happydance: i have a good feeling about the TS strut bar this mid feb... im keeping my fingers crossed it works out and i send the deposit for it so they can begin making it......

i really needa change those sky blue couplers to black.... smh lol its not as horrible as it looks in a pic but still definitely not feeling it.... also im almost done with the password jdm covers... i cant get over how horrible the cf was... so much blurred spots and pin holes.... i sanded everything already and only a little bit more work is required before i can clear them myself.... my uncle was so busy thats why i had to take matters in my own hand....

Your right the blue does not look bad or good, if that makes sense. Black will be perfect. I wish I could see those things in person man, so killer!

actually i cleared it together with the cf piece... the black lettering looked like it would rub off so i thought clearing it together would make it last longer :D

:leghump:

i never finished college :icon17: haha i went only to a tech school for welding  other than that i have never been in a class room for anything else :p i learned painting through my dad and a close friend....

i will say this though... my uncles painter... really gave me a ****** up time with these covers haha... they were really really screwed when they were new he made it almost impossible to save these after he shot 1/8 thick clearcoat which me and my other half had the enjoyment of sanding down because it bubbled up and fogged out.... :shakes head: im happy they look normal again and shiny

simota1 02-07-2013 08:32 PM

update on baker....

ive made a deal with baker that ill man up and fix and take care of the b pillar and brackets myself but paul said i might have to take up the issue with UPS.... i understand he is trying his hardest to help me out which i appreciate... :Di told him i can fix the shroud by sending it to tony of cfe to wrap.... and as long as his willing to pay tony ill be kool with that...

if they still shut the door on me despite the fact that i said ill take care of the bracket and b pillars myself and at the very least i am begging paul to take care of the shroud alone... if they still dont do crap... idk guys... i think i bent over backwards for baker on this one. well see soon enough....

LMBmikeZ 02-07-2013 09:17 PM

you are much to kind buddy, I would be a lot more pissed if I paid that much for the stuff and was not happy with what I got!

i honestly really feel that way... but being it wouldn't really help my situation i figure why stress... :icon17: ive contacted my friend who provided me the top secret engine cover he is tryna get me a qoute for a replacement shroud and the brackets.... IF the shrouds are ridiculous then its gonna be cfe to the rescue haha....

iceman21_23 02-08-2013 06:03 AM

damn simota... if i paid that much id want new unbroken pieces... but im sure tony will have them looking better then new anyways.

ahhh so true... sometimes i cant sleep at night because i think about the cracked shroud lol... and im cringing how much top secret wants for a new one... lol i wont be suprised if they say 400 or some stupid **** like that lol.... damn this jdm love that burns inside me haha...

but i have no doubt tony will get them looking brand spanking new.... im just not too sure about the etching part.... in my mind it works... but im not 100% sure about it :ugh2:

at the end of it all though... IF baker does nothing still after all the " dont worry about the b pillar and brackets" and they still dont wanna AT LEAST pay tony... imma make some noise... well just wait and see... i really believe that if that does happen... anybody at that point would be furious and be pissed and definitely has the right to complain what do you guys think?

LMBmikeZ 02-08-2013 11:04 AM

Yes anyone would be upset at that point and a bunch of us would have been pissed right after receiving parts like that! If you pay someone to do something you expect them to do it right. I know you are a fellow tradesman to and when you paid to do something you have to do it right or you will have to fix any issues at a cost to you or your company :ugh2: I see no difference when it comes to parts manufactures, the shipping company and anyone in between you getting your parts. You expect them to be in NEW condition with no defects, so they need to pack **** proper and the shipping companies need to own up when they break the sh!t..................

sorry I could continue cause that **** pisses me off, I had issues when I was modding my z32 :shakes head: I kinda feel pissed off for you in a way bro:mad::rofl2:!

I hope CFE can fix it all up nice for you to!

That's what I was thinking. Maybe you can find a spot to notch both sides to kinda make it a 3 piece cover.

I thought you already had done this though. Maybe it was galeforce????? Check his thread maybe it was him that had done something similar. I could be dreaming though lol

GaleForce 02-10-2013 12:44 PM

Yes. I slotted my covers so they could be easily removed.

LMBmikeZ 02-10-2013 12:46 PM

Haha there you go! I knew I had seen this already

You two have he sickest builds and I fallow it with every update I see, I am obviously subscribed to both threads :excited:

Thanks for the quick answer Jason! I am bored and on my phone looking at forum while my wife is on the comp so it's hard to search and link threads/posts........ However she just got off so now my forum viewing can go to FULL POWER :rofl2:
