I know where it is comnig from, but I even swapped the line and it still leaks, its strange, its not like a gusting leak, I think some people may have even missed it to be honest...its seeping not at the threads of one of the elbows but when the elbow goes into the fitting, and with a line I know that did not leak, very strange, all things considered, minor issue.

GaleForce 03-08-2014 08:41 AM

What/where is the fitting leak?

I had minor leaks at the oil filter relocation plate. I needed to remove and reinstall thread tape to fix it.

Joepro 03-08-2014 09:41 AM

That is why it is weird, it is no leaking from the threads its from the fitting itself, I am going to re asdust everythnig today and see what happens.

I think Mitch had an issue with that and ended up replacing the fitting with a different one.

Joepro 03-08-2014 10:06 AM

Fixed as of now, my fault as I suspected! all is good!

jlo370z 03-08-2014 10:22 AM

Great news, now we just need some video of her running down the road ;)

Congrats Joe!

What was the solution?

Joepro 03-08-2014 10:31 AM

I changed the angle on the line, it stopped, im gonna run it and recheck it to see, but looks ok as of now.

GaleForce 03-08-2014 12:43 PM

Good job.

Joepro 03-08-2014 09:28 PM

Got a few strange looks from some people in other cars while on a test run, I feel they knew a 370z shouldn't have a BOV...:rofl2:

It really stops ricers in their tracks when you fill their ears with a BOV on a car that didn't come from the factory with a turbo:rofl2:

jwick 03-08-2014 09:48 PM

Oh and where is your video. I need something to  over until I get mine installed

Joepro 03-08-2014 09:51 PM

It supposed to be almost 60 on Tuesday and Im off work, you will have to wait till then!

jwick 03-08-2014 09:52 PM

Obviously you got the fuel pump wiring firgured out. Basically the paintbrush diagram you posted in Sasha's thread?

Joepro 03-08-2014 10:01 PM

Yes that master piece is the key to pump voltage, it was the only way that made sense anyway!

Joepro 03-09-2014 01:28 PM

Im gonna check to make sure that pesky oil problem is gone then give R/T a call to get scheduled for the final tune! The base map appears really safe according to my wideband but I will feel more comfortable when its properly tuned! Can't wait!

You're going to a great shop for tuning. They are more organized and more professional than some large dealership service departments.

Joepro 03-10-2014 10:39 AM

Friday April 11th is tune day! Gonna be a long month! Give me plenty of time to make sure any bugs are worked out tho!

That's just long enough for you to start getting a feel for the power you've got now. Then you go in and gain even more. It's a win-win.

Should be a good day. That's the day we have pegged to start the G tear down. Clutch should be broken in by then.

R/T Tuning 03-10-2014 12:11 PM

I heard you on the phone making your tuning appointment with Dan. We are looking forward to having you back in Joe.

Rid3_FaM0uS 03-10-2014 01:13 PM

Joepro 03-10-2014 07:59 PM

Took a short video on one of my test runs, nothing crazy just getting into boost a bit.

Intercooler love:

Boosted Performance 03-18-2014 09:26 PM

It was meant to be...perfect fit.

The great thing with the vertical flow intercoolers is that 80% of the cooling is done in the first 6", and with that bumper 100% of those 6" are exposed to oncoming air....and then there is another 3" that you can't see.

412Z 03-22-2014 10:22 PM

awesome you are local! I've been eyeing up this kit for a while now, and working on being able to afford it by the end of this summer probably haha. Are you planning on making it to any PRP/ flashlight drag events this season?id LOVE to see and hear this thing in person!

Joepro 03-22-2014 10:41 PM

Ya I will be running at PRP, got a group of guys that I run with there, we have been getting a small Z group together in the area as well in the Greensburg/Irwin area as well, feel free to hit me up anytime! I could not be happier with the kit, the car runs fantastic, cannot wait to get the final tune done, the car is getting the local car guys attention, word is out haha.

412Z 03-23-2014 04:35 PM

That's awesome, I haven't seen many Z's out my way.I'm prepping the car for FI in the next couple months. costume exhaust, diff bushing, clutch and coil overs.I cants wait to feel boost again.

FPenvy 03-24-2014 08:27 AM

412Z should go check out my Pittsburgh thread on here.

Joepro 03-24-2014 09:24 AM

I'll be there monday the 14th, getting a CEL fixed in my tune... Great shop!

N0SL3N 03-26-2014 08:12 PM

I would just completely debadge.... don't want to let people know what you have under the hood :driving:

Joepro 03-26-2014 08:57 PM

Most people are too dumb to realize there is not a turbo option on this Z anyway haha, more for self satisfaction.

Joepro 04-12-2014 08:25 AM

Results are in! Ended on peak boost of 10.5 psi. We were up around 480 tq but decided to pull some timing to drop it down a bit in the 4-5k range. Really happy with it!

Sasha just announced his V2 kits, love hate moment, make me wish I waited, but it speaks of how much he cares, most companies once a product is built they just keep producing it, I will upgrade to the new IC pipe when it is available, and make this kit better than it already is!
