The Catfish Nismo
 

So about two months ago I placed an order on a brand new 2014 base/sport. The car arrived in three weeks, which wasn't bad, but it came damaged. I was told the car broke loose during the shipment and bumped the car in the back and front. Most of the damage was in the back.

I was pissed but I used the situation to my advantage and tried talking them into putting Nismo bumpers as a replacement. It was a long shot but unfortunately, they didn't want to mess with a new car because if something were to go wrong, they would be liable.

So after more haggling with the sales manager, he decided to give me a deal for the Nismo sitting on the showroom floor. Ended up getting the car $800 under invoice. 42k is probably a lot compared to what others paid in the past. Seems like the 2014 prices for Nismo's went way up.

Yeah kinda sucks the car you ordered is damaged and they only took $800 off the Nismo for you.

Should have haggled more. Beautiful car! I just like the straight white without the black though. Did they even offer them that way on the new models?

Love the Nismo! That was great that you were able to move right into a Nismo after they jacked up your car. I love the look of your Nismo over the original car that you had ordered. Enjoy it!

Are you talking about the gun metal color on the front lip, side skirts, rear and spoiler? They only offer the straight white on the models prior to the 2014's.

Well lets just say I was super impatient. I walked in prior to ordering my base/sport ready to buy. I had cash in hand and my mind was already set on having a new car.
Haggling with them more would mean I play the "walk out, find another dealer, etc, etc." already did that and after pushing him to 42k they wouldn't budge.
It's whatever now because I love this car!

I'm going to wrap the Z soon. The gun metal at the bottom has grown on me, but it feels kinda ricey imo. Open for color ideas
