That's pretty good. Wonder why mine is making so much more torque compared to HP

jlo370z 04-25-2014 04:20 PM

Removed more timing

We removed as much as we felt comfortable with. If you go to low cylinder temperatures get real high and you start melting head gasket. That's never a good thing.

Wild-*** guess? That exhaust isn't flowing as much as the FI.

Didn't think there would be that much difference since it's a single 3" downpipe either way. The only difference is the F.I. goes dual 9-12" closer to the turbo.

Chuck33079 04-25-2014 04:53 PM

I would think it would be the muffler itself and the fact there's a lot less bends in the FI.

jwick 04-25-2014 04:54 PM

Might be upgrading at some point. Tony already gave me the price for just the part I need.

Chuck33079 04-25-2014 04:56 PM

It would be easy enough to make a dyno pull without the muffler and see.

jwick 04-27-2014 12:45 AM

So how's it feel now that you've had it for a day?

Wife is a nurse and its her weekend to work, so i didnt get to drive all that much yesterday. Took the boy to his karate lessons and back :( beautiful day for driving too.

I did get a lot done yesterday to my wifes car, installed jl audio compenent, 12" sub and jl audio 500/3 amp. Sounds amazing. Today I will finish buttoning it up.
Looking at the weather it will be almost a week before I get to drive my baby again, calling for rain all week

ohhh and im going to mock up my ings+1 side skirts today to see if im going to keep them or send them back for replacements

jwick 04-27-2014 02:31 PM

One of the positives of living in Texas is we get to drive all year round.

it seems that the ones sent to me are a first version run of them??? not quite sure, but the current version has a solid back side (door side not wheel side) and the version that was sent to me is open. its very clean, not like its a mistake or anything but i was expecting solid and not quite sure what to make of it.

Ive spoke with the vendor i bought them from and they will do what ever I want to do as far as getting what i ordered or a discounted price on these if I find them acceptable. If ings wont give the discount then there is no question, ill be returning them for the current model, but then ill be waiting 2 months for them

jwick 04-28-2014 12:19 PM

I saw a pic pop up with the sides installed. You keeping them?

jlo370z 04-28-2014 12:37 PM

I have aero jacket sides on now. One got damage when lowering car from turbo build so I ordered the ings. I will have ings on my car, not sure if it will be these or new ones. Waiting to hear back from ings

Really? looks pretty straight forward?

Meulen 04-29-2014 07:41 PM

I heard its a bit difficult because if the tight spot. I gotta do mine too. Also gotta figure out where to get the trans fluid cocktail and how to pump it in.

ohhh its tight, i remember the pain in the *** it was to change the cmc, putting it back together is the hard part, but if it does what it claims it will be worth the effort and the money.

GaleForce 04-29-2014 08:31 PM

The tight space is the only thing difficult about installing the RJM clutch pedal assembly. I did it while my dash was out and it was still tight. lol

Its easier if you have a helper to hand you things. That way you don't have to keep cramming yourself under the dash. Even still not very hard to do and does't take very long

jlo370z 05-04-2014 10:44 AM

Mocking up ings +1 side skirt to see if I want to keep this version. Thoughts? http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/04/umu4uted.jpg
