Dude, lay that wheel down on an old towel, or piece of rubber floor. I would't want to see it fall over face down and get scratched.

Good day 1 . Transmission is out, clutch flywheel are out. Removed front crash bar and cold air intakes .

My stock clutch and flywheel look brand new as well as the fluid that came out.

Tomorrow we will get the new clutch/flywheel and csc installed and drive shaft back in, then on to the turbo install

Some more pics from this evening

This is my first attempt at anything like this, I have someone with great abilities helping me, but I must say it is very rewarding to be doing this. cant wait to get further.

I will be installing that after the turbo build along with the evo r fog light.

Did a test fit and it will snug tight so pretty excited to get it done.

Just a lot of build going on at the moment ;)

Getting the turbo in is a bastage.
Once we got that figured out wasn't so bad. We did note some areas where some extra language in the manual would have been helpful. Also there is a coupler fitting with a screen , where is that suppose to go?

Yes, the charge pipe that comes of the turbo can be a challenge...I assume that this is where you had some troubles. I am hoping to change that in the near future, and make it a lot easier to install.

If you have feedback on the manual just let me know where I can improve it. It is hard for me to write a manual, because I designed the kit, and sometimes can "assume" that something is intuitive, when it really isn't.

The filter screen is an addition to the pump by the manufacturer, and should go on the pump inlet.

Forsure it was connecting the charge pipe to the turbo, they have to be perfectly lined up in order for them to connect, took a bit but we got it. Your instructions are very easy to follow, for a noob at an install like this, there are just a few additional pieces of information that would make it easier. I will get those to you once we are done. nothing major, and I believe anyone who is mechanically inclined can install this kit.

Thanks again Sasha, can't wait to fire her up here shortly:tup::driving::tup:

Right on dude!

Guess you and I are in a race to see who gets to play first. My clutch is broken in and install starts next week. Should be close depending how fast you rack up miles.

jlo370z 04-03-2014 12:02 AM

729 miles to go lol

jwick 04-03-2014 12:06 AM

I'm really curious how my power and spool compares to the F.I. exhaust guys. I've only got 6" of single pipe to worry about but we'll see how much effect it has. Figure I'll make more torque earlier but lose HP on the top end.

Oh course on a stock block it probably won't be much difference.

All that a side...Congrats my brotha!!! Welcome to the Boosted (specifically the BP) club

What clutch did you go with? If you are running a full face friction plate, 500 easy mile should be more than enough break-in

jlo370z 04-03-2014 12:13 AM

South bend stage 3 full face. Feels great, got new flywheel too

You don't need more than 500 miles on a full face. I babied mine for 450 miles.

Now when I say baby I mean I never slipped it. I waited until it was fully engaged before I applied acceleration. Also I never gave it full throttle.

As long as you wait until it's fully engage and baby the throttle, you should be more than good with 500 miles.

Don't take my word for it. Call Joe and ask him what the proper break-in is for your setup.
