Guess it's time to finally start a build thread Parts are starting to trickle in for the BP kit so I figured I would go ahead and get this thread going. Current details for the car:
2009 370Z Pearl White Touring Sport Manual Interior: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS PLX Kiwi Wifi Digital gauges being run through head unit (DashCommand) Fatboy shift knob (TK clone) Wheels: Matte Black Forgestar F14s Front (Deep Concave) 19x9.5 +20 255/35/19 Rear (Super Deep Concave) 19x11 +15 305/30/19 Exterior: DIY Black Headlight Housings Black Pearl Badges PlastiDipped Door Handles Engine: Fast Intentions TDX 12" Cat Back Exhaust ERZ HFC (soon to be removed) Boosted Performance Twin Scroll Single Turbo Kit (coming soon) Suspension: Stock for now Baseline dyno: I'm just a few hours into the tear down so far. Hoping to make some good progress over the weekend. Edit: Made a little progress this morning. Got the cats off among a few other things in the engine bay. Hit my first snag. One of the O2 sensors is seized up pretty good and I can't break it loose. I managed to get the other one off with some PB Blaster and a torch but no dice on this one. I've got it loaded up in the vise so I can get a better angle on it. Time for some turkey so I'll try again later on. Edit 2: Finally got that evil O2 sensor off. Took a lot of PB-B and a lot of fire but it finally gave in. Now I'm wrestling with the oil pan. Really hard to get that thing started... Oh and Uprev cable arrived today Last edited by puckshaw; 11-29-2013 at 02:03 PM. |

Little more progress today. Oil pan is off and surfaces are clean. That was a pain. Fuel injectors arrived so I'll be tackling that and the plugs tomorrow. So far, so good!

Looking at the tracking number, the big box should be arriving on Wednesday.

A bit more progress today. I've got the intake manifold tapped and back on, intercooler is mounted, oil pan spacer is on, oil lines are done (minus the turbo), and intercooler piping is basically all routed. The piping has been a struggle. Really tight working areas. I need to get about an inch or two of movement to make the last connection which is harder than it sounds.
