Yeah I'm sure it's fine but just being safe since the tune is only a few days away. It's really hard not to go full throttle though :D Can't wait to give it the beans and see what it can really do.

Thanks guys! I totally agree on the sound. Not obnoxiously loud but not quiet by any means. Really nice exhaust note and intoxicating turbo noises lol. It seems like the VQ off throttle hiss is gone too. That always annoyed me. So far I couldn't be happier.

The install really isn't that bad at all. I did it completely alone on jack stands in my garage. The only snag was me not pushing that fuel rail harness a millimeter farther to lock in. Just a simple mistake on my part. Like Sasha said, now I know every bit of this kit which will be great for maintaining the car down the road. Great product from BP and even better customer service

good choice switching to the BP kit, car will be running before you even get a refund from GTM :shakes head:

You'll be giggling every time you go WOT for weeks. The first time you hammer it after the tune, the car will scare you.

LOL I'm already giggling at part throttle. I can't imagine how it's going to feel at full throttle. No doubt it's going to be terrifying

Got underneath the car last night to try and get the exhaust to line up better. It seemed like I still had a small leak at the rear v-bands. I loosened everything up and discovered by pushing the y-pipe as far to the passenger side as it would go, things lined up much better. The thing that threw me off at first is at first glance it looks way off, but the flex sections allow it to bend into position pretty much perfectly. Without doing this, I wasn't able to get the faces lined up flush. It was a little tricky getting things tightened up while trying to keep everything in position since I was having to pull things in different directions but I managed. Took it for a spin this morning and believe that did the trick.

I also found a couple very small oil leaks and snugged up those connections. I'll check again tonight to make sure they're fixed. I do still have something that rattles a tiny bit when I go over moderate bumps. I'm sure it's an oil line or something like that. Probably going to be hard to track down since I can't really simulate it while under the car.

Two more days until I get her tuned

Yea that's part of the game. Exhaust components can be tricky. With time they will settle more. Just keep checking things weekly.

Yeah the flex sections have already loosened up a bit as Sasha said they would and were easier to work with this time around. I'm really glad I did the install myself so I can make all these little adjustments on my own. I wouldn't even have noticed the oil leaks if I hadn't gone looking for them. It wasn't enough to even drip on the ground. It was just building up some residue around the leaks.
