Beautiful build! When you plastidipped your emblems and side markers, did you only use the matte black or did you add glossifier as well?

Did the light assembly come with the spoiler when you purchased it? I'm assuming that's the shine auto replica...

Well...Clutch pedal went to the floor today. This is my daily driver, so I need to get it back on the road asap. 52k miles on the odometer. Heard the factory warranty will cover the CSC. Is this true? I got a tow to the shop today. Car is waiting on me in the morning to decide if I am taking it to the dealer or letting my mechanic do the work. Positive its the CSC. The clutch was replaced last year along with the flywheel. The CSC was also replaced and it was replaced with an oem one. I am ordering a Z Speed one now. Just wondering if I can get the dealership to do it under warranty or not. The transmission also occasionally locks me out of 2nd and 5th in high rpm. Was planning on going to the dealership for this also. However now that the car cannot be shifted, how do I prove this? Tell them and hope they just go with it? Or do I let them replace the CSC, then say "hey my car won't shift properly." ? Thanks for any advice.

Got the z speed HD CSC and master cylinder this morning. Dropped the transmission to find my clutch pressure plate was held in place with finger tight bolts. There were hot spots on the pressure plate and flywheel surfaces. The clutch disc was also feathering out a bit. We believe the pressure plate could also be warped from the loose bolts. Glad we found it now. Could have been bad a little down the road. Ordered a new Jim Wolfe clutch kit, and also another flywheel faceplate. Should be here tomorrow with over night shipping through z speed again. Joe has outstanding customer service btw.

Also since no one in my area has tried them, and I couldn't find much on the internets...I decided to go out on a limb and try a set of tires for my car from Ebay. The brand is Accelera and the model is Phi. It is an Indonesian tire and supposedly their best one. I ordered them a few days ago. They arrived today. I will be installing tomorrow on the back wheels. I am out of tread on the Advans and need something a little more commute friendly with mileage. I am going to try them and see how they go. I will leave a review on here when I have them on a few miles.
Also received my Z1 silicone hose kit from another member here in the classified section. Got a few minutes and installed the vacuum hoses. Also installed the coolant over flow hoses. Haven't had a chance yet to do the radiator hoses or the heater hoses. Soon though. Here's what is still left to go on. |
