As many of you know, because of personal reasons I parted out the G last October and sold it. Was a very difficult decision but was the right choice for my family and I at the time. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...4/IMG_1284.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...4/image001.jpg After tracking and Auto-X events, I decided when I got my next car it'd be a 370, so for the past 2 months or so, I've been searching for a clean pearl white 370 Nismo...and I think I found a diamond in the rough... Below is a Video from MotorWeek. If you'll notice, the Z test vehicle is a 2009 and serial #0021....the 21st 370 Nismo built.... http://www.youtube.com/embed/9ZEKC7vNA-0 Well, the Z in the video is now MY Nismo!! I take pride in this knowing that Nissan wouldn't have sent a flawed Nismo in ANY WAY to get tested...and passed in every single inspection/test. Car was tested after it had 5k miles of break in... 1st owner from Ohio titled the car in 2010 with 10,300 miles... which I bought the car 2 weeks ago with 12,848 miles!! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ps3c1d86c7.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...psb020da0e.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...psed974932.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ps63081692.jpg Back with my Crew!!!!!! http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...psbdd953d2.jpg |

I really start to like the FI TDX with non-resonated X-pipe. You got the FI RHFC in. You reckon I can expect yet a little more noise if I opt for the FI HFC, instead? OMG, I'd be so excited! :excited: |
Sounds great but much different from mine.....
U have SS or CF? |
Nice Z!

Your ride looks pretty low, but really nice, I have the FI exhaust also and know you have to be careful because of the angle of the exhaust, but just curious if even after being careful you have scraped with your coilovers.

Congrats man....Dam...What are the odds of that...I'm still freaked out that you have the Nismo that was tested in the vid....You've done a good job with her....Looking forward to the mods. |

I've seen some hit something that stuck up in the road, which to me is extremely weird considering that my front bumper has always been the lowest point of the car, so if I ever were to hit, it'd be the bumper clearing the way. Quote:

What's up bro! I see you went with the Z over G huh? haha well I did the same. Sold the G and bought my 40th Z about a month ago.
If you remember I was the guy who bought your WORKs when you were parting out your G. =) |

Very nice bro! I see you were at ZDayZ. That's awesome!

Little update to my journal. This Saturday, August 16th we are doing a dyno/tune day. Dyno is a Dyno Dynamics.
I personally will be tuning with the following: -Fast Intentions Resonated HFCs -Fast Intentions NONresonated SS catback -Stillen Gen3's -Stillen UD Pulley -MD M370 intake manifold (still debating on installing or not) -Nissan Motorsports 34row Oil Cooler -Nismo rear wheels mounted** Should be a fun day. We have 4 or 5 of us tuning which should be fun. We've considered throwing the local Fast Intentions TT owner on just for sh/ts after his long haul home from Cali to MN. |

I would add the M370 for the gains in torque...it's worth it!
|
I remember you from myg. Congrats on your Z, nice mods!

I've had so many guys that I've seen sell them which I PM'd to get their honest opionions on, and they just say its not worth it. So many mixed reviews. |
Yup, I saw about a 10ft/lbs more on the torque side of things and increase in throttle and acceleration according to the butt dyno lol.
|
The car does pick up a bit more growl. It's subtle, but it changed the exhaust note just a tad bit lower. The M370 is nice, but with the Z1 modified VHR manifold, the m370 gains over the modded but are minimal, but the modded vhr will continue to make more power, especially up top.

Should just go FI TT which I've debated up until this point on going TT, and BEGGED Tony@FI to fab some intakes, but at this point for me with a house being built, and baby boy on the way, TT is a bit outreached right now, so Gen3's, UD pulley and M370 hoping to hold me over for a year or so... |

I hear you loud and clear on keeping your priorities straight! But once you go boosted NA won't due anymore.
Yeah, the number I gave you were after a tune and is what Seb figured. My dyno sheets are posted in the Engine Section within the M370 Review tread. I pulled some pretty good numbers with just K&N drop ins, exhaust and ART pipes. |
Update from Saturday's "test and tune".
Got the UD pulley installed (PITFA!!!!!!!!! who thought getting the bolt out and then pulling off the pulley?) Put the car on the Dyno and.....the A/F looked perfect immediately. Added some fuel, took some away...running rich in the low end at 11ish could squeeze about 3whp at the top end. To me, just not worth it. Entire curve between all three pulls/adjustments in a/f were damn near identicle so I elected to stick w/ the OEM Nismo tune as it seemed to keep the A/F in the safest places, not to mention the idle was perfect. Gen3's, M370, UD pulley, RHFCs and SS catback, put down 320whp and 258 ft/lbs of tq. My goal was 320 keeping the 300 cell cats intact, and we got there. (All of these #'s were with my 20" WORK GS2's mounted) Quote:

We shall see. House closing is Sept 29th, our son is due in December. 2015 may bring on the next big step for the Z, but definitely not this year. |
