mini update:
-10mm spacers arriving for my rear wheels for the classic +22/+12 look -fontana nissan is fixing up remaining issues with the car (no more high pitched whistle in my ear!) -car is going back to the body shop for a few misc. issues :( so Rin is gone...again. at least when i get her back again, the hood will be back to red...and that should clean it up a bit. and all the alignment stuff will be fixed. and...oh, never mind. and in a not-so-subtle ploy, HELP!!! Amuse Kitted 370z - 2009 Nissan 370Z Vivid Racing Gallery i need suspension :) |
Wow wow wow.... Phelan has a car?
Where the f*ck did this come from lol |
Car is back with a red hood  back to normal! mostly, at least, i think the latch is still somewhat loose. need to get that looked at now.
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/7465/20100701137.jpg Installed a few parts I had laying around as well, including the PW:JDM oil filler cap http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/3...0100701139.jpg and right now the strut bar is red...if you didn't notice from the previous pic :rofl2: http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/9201/20100701140.jpg I had initially wanted to do a gloss black and then put some red accents on it. I can still do so, just need to have the shop repaint in the proper black color. I had envisioned it to match what the injen intakes look like...sorta. Thoughts anybody? Should I keep it red (and use black accents), or go black with red accents? right now i'm leaning towards a repaint to black and just going with my original concept, but who knows... :) |
My thought, you should give me that PW:JDM oil cap, does not flow with your car.
It is looking good, now get some power under the hood. |
Looking good!! Are you bringing your car out to Cerritos this Saturday?

theDreamer, I know you wanted to see how this looks, so here's a few temp pics until I get better ones done:
http://www.the370z.com/members/phela...t-location.jpg Engine bay shot - new components include red Samco hoses, ARC radiator cap, PW:JDM oil cap, gloss black support bar + red kanji vinyl (as if that wasn't obvious from the PREVIOUS shot, lol). http://www.the370z.com/members/phela...phone-blur.jpg Hope to get some better shots soon. With that said, photoshoot will be happening sometime in the next two to three weeks, as soon as I can get it scheduled and locked in place  On the shortlist of stuff to do - finish purchasing and installing Amuse parts (aim to do this by Amplified's BBQ in two weeks), buy an oil cooler, clear bra front. If I can do it myself, I would like to do some painting of the engine bay cover - nothing too complicated, but just enough to tie in the entire look. Anybody in SoCal know a good clear-bra place that won't charge me an arm and a leg for custom front haha On a slightly somber note...that might be the end of this project for a while. I knew from the start that this build would progress over years, not months. I don't have the deep pockets that some of us do here to get parts fab'd and installed in time for SEMA (I'm staring at you, bullitt and Tony LOL), and believe it or not there are other things I need to take care of that aren't car-related. I'm low on cash for what I want to do in those other aspects of my life, so unless really, really good deals roll around, or something really grabs my attention, I probably will be waiting a while for new parts. Plus, I love the car the way it is right now, so I'm in no big rush to put 'latest and greatest' stuff onto the car. Nothing has really screamed 'OMG I NEED THIS NOW' lately. Well, except for a certain canyon run and me watching oil temps like a hawk :rofl2: Still on my wishlist - new seats...eh, that can wait for a while. |
Umm...you know that says "loser" right? :p
Looking good, and I am the same at this point, no new purchases for the Z once my oil cooler arrives and gets onto the car. |
