My 370Z Journal - The Evo Killer
 

Here is my 370Z. Her name is Zoey. I picked her up May 22 from Sherwood Nissan. She is Magnetic Black, M6 Touring edition with Sport & Nav.

I put 180KM on her the took her back to the dealership for:
Stillen Exhaust
Stillen Oil Cooler
Stillen Undercrank Pulley
Stillen Gen 3 Intakes

All these parts are preforming amazing. Love the oil cooler OMG!!! The under crank pulley was so worth it as well. The roar you get from the exhaust every start up and the pissed off look from the neighbours is priceless!!!

GTSpec 4 Point Ladder Brace and Rays Aluminum Lug Nuts in both Black and Red from DoubleDown Motorsports are on order.

I took that name because I was trying to buy a Evo X for 2yrs and had a b**ch of a time. I had the deposit on the first one in Winnipeg. Both Mitsubishi Dealers were A**holes! One tried telling me the recession was over so no deals off MSRP. The other had extra charges out the A**. $399 Doc fee, $499 PDI fee (because there is lots to check over with Japanese cars they told me), and $122.50 Enviromental tax. Even after all that the GM put 800KM on the car and would not let me test drive it!!! I walked out and right across the street was a Nissan Dealer. Walked in and saw a Carbon Silver base 370Z. Fell in love instantly! The salesman offered to clear the showroom to get it out so I could drive it right then! 4 Weeks later I picked up mine!

Took a crapy pic last night with the back light on. Looks really sweet when its on!

I actually got my 09 370Z with sport and nav with 10Km for $300 cheaper than an 08 Evo MR with 800Km.

Not an Evo killer yet but nice car.

You need HFC's and a tune to really let it shine. ;)

Just got my Stillen Front License plate bracket! A B*tch to line up but looks good once its on!

since you have all those stillen parts on your Z doesn't that void warrenty from the dealership??

Where did you get your license plate frame?. And did you buy the car with tints?

I bought my plate frame from thezstore.com. Great guys over there!!!

The tint I had done. Its 35%.

As for the z/evo in looks department, the Z wins hands down. The cheap Lancer looks almost (ALMOST!!!) the same as the Lancer Evolution. Nothing looks like the 370. Pure SEXYNESS!!!

doesnt the stillen underdrive not have a harmonic dampener?

wow! just noticed this thread... at first I thought it was a journal for a dude investing in his 370z... now i see it is a p'ing match on whether srm sucks and evo vs 370... two arguments that will rage on for eternity! hope that OP is okay with us p'ing on his journal! guess he deserves it some for picking that name!!!

Just picked up some HKS hipermax III Coil Overs and the coolest toy ever. A Magden M1.b Performance Computer!!! Its keeps track of dynamic horsepower, engine temps, and all other kinds of cool sh*t. It was featured in the new Fast & Furious movie. Steven at Ampliified hooked me up!!! (Thanks again Dude!!) I can't wait for delivery and install. I will get some pics asap.

Brakes are next. Any suggestions???

Since your car is new, you should be able to find a G37 or non-sport buyer for your existing akebonos, which helps offset the price of this kit. Alternative is to spend a little less money and try to mix and match parts from different vendors, e.g., COZ may soon be selling 2-piece light weight slotted rotors that go with the sport package. And of course if you go that route, you'll need upgraded pads, fluid and probably need to add ducting if you're going to track the car. The AP Racing brakes I have don't seem to need any ducting, but I'll prob do that anyways.

out of curiosity, why the grounding kit? understood that to be more of an automatic transmission thing

Do you have any images of the Magden computer and how you installed it in your car?

i just sold my 06 MR to a guy in winnepeg actually. I live in Savannah, Georgia. I was running 11.5xx at the track. Stock turbo, stock block, stock head, stock ecu. All i had was TBE, cams, intake, and meth. Made 423 awhp and 426 torqe. I miss her. But had to get my priorities straight for a while.

Yep DIY...

Steven at Amplified said both the HKS coil overs and the Magden computer are pretty easy installs. So to try and save a few bucks (for more toys) I'll give them a whirl. (Helps that I work at a dealership and can use a lift)
