Been a while since i posted. Not much to update on. I installed a gt spec 4 point under brace,and whiteline front sway bar during the summer.
I have a jwt clutch and flywheel with z1 csc eleimination kit i need to install. I will be porting my intake manifold and runners over winter, and sending the tbs out to get bored. I will also probably do a brake upgrade over winter,possibly with brake cooling ducts,and possibly coilovers,and an amuse front bumper (would like to integrate brake ducts into it) I also installed a new shift knob. Its a flossy knob which i had engraved. I think it looks great with the 40th interior. Other than that the z is no longer my daily and i usually drive it on weekends. So its back on oem wheels for the winter. |

Im installing a jwt clutch and flywheel over the weekend, also installing the z1 csc elimination kit.
Got her up in the air already and partialy disasembled im pretty much going to get it ready to drop for tommorow so my friend can help me take it out of the car. Also while i was at it i removed the clutch line restrictor in the drivers side fender, i installed a adapter with a bigger bore. |

I ended up doing more work than i thought i was going to do yesterday, dropped the trans by myself. Changed the front cover on the transmission to convert to the external slave cylinder, and removed the clutch and flywheel.
Out with the stupid csc lol The 2 front covers side to side And this is how many extensions i needed to remove the top transmission bolts by the way lol |

Yeah just a regular jack in the center of the transmission, its back in i just have to finish some minor things up but its raining and 32 degrees here today so no can do lol

It helps to have a second person i had one putting it back in. and also i removed my test pipes for extra room, it helps with removing the crank sensor too and its not alot of work. Besides i have new metal z1 gaskets to put on anyway lol

Did some quick work today before work, installed then slave cylinder and line and got fluid in the system. I need a second person to help bleed the clutch properly but just gravity bleeding a bit helped already. Overall the clutch is a bit heavier, i will need to fine tune my grab point alot now since i have the rjm pedal and the slave has alot of adjustment on it.

So I recentley installed stillen brake cooling ducts,z1 front and rear rotors,lines,and stoptech pads. I also sent out my tbs to get bored, maxbore did a great job on them. Im just waiting on synergy to send back my upper and lower ported mani. He sent me some progress pics and said he should have them done friday. I haven't updated this in a while. so the car put down 317 whp and 269 ftlbs on r/ts dyno after the mods listed in my previous post. Since then Ive done some mods in the past year.
Towards the end of the summer I installed spl rear traction arms. Install was straight forward and being a tech I had access to a alignment rack right after. I think Ive aligned this car at least 5 times in the past year. Then later in the fall I picked up some fortune auto 500 series coilovers 12k front and 10k rear spring rates with swift springs. I previously had just swift springs on oem shocks and I always felt that the shocks were too soft. The fortunes are a great upgrade. I still have not had a track day with them but I plan to take the car this summer to at least one. I also took apart my headlights and painted them myself. I went with a satin black housing, including the boomerangs. I painted the shrouds to match the kav color. I also upgraded to morimoto clear projector lenses. The light output is a night and day difference. While I had the bumper off for the lights I ordered z1's new pop charger filter upgrade for the stillen g3's. It was due for a cleaning anyway so I figured why not upgrade them. The oem crash beam had to be modified to fit the filters, I cut it and had my friend weld it. I also got rid of my underdrive pulley kit, installed the oem alternator pulley and upgraded to an ati super damper. My impressions of the pulley are that the engine is alot smoother especially in the higher revs. The final thing I changed was minor. I felt like the interior needed something, so I ordered a red stitch e brake boot and center arm rest leather. The e brake boot slips right on and the center console had to be taken apart and I replaced the oem leather on the arm rest with the new one. Heres the car as it sits now I have some mods I hope to get this year still. Hopefully z1 headers, maybe change the exhaust out for a tomei. Then I want to get a retune and see what it puts down pretty much full bolt on. Ive also considered changing out the side mirrors for the evo r mirrors, I never did like how bulky the oem mirrors are. Ive also had my eye on the zoom engineering interior mirrors for a while too so maybe that who knows. Last edited by nismolucino; 05-14-2016 at 11:04 PM. |

Installed the z1 headers this weekend, the install isn't so bad. Jacking up the motor and removing the steering shaft on the drivers side makes it alot easier. I wrapped them in high temp exhaust wrap,and did the test pipes too. The tone isnt drastically different than the factory headers but there is a noticeable change. I wouldn't really day its louder though. I haven't driven the car enough to do a real driving impression, but I will say that driving around town the mid range seems to have improved, I suspect the biggest gains are up top though.
