NP Luciano13. I'll take lots of pics during install. As far as details, I looked at this for a loooooong time. Ultimately decided on these. My car will never be a dedicated track car so I didn't feel the need for the KW V3 or higher level performance coil overs. But I have spent my fair share of time on the track and am pretty in tune with driving so I knew I'd feel the difference if I bought some crap. The problem with most coil overs, in the lower price level, is springs. So my final decision on these came because of the BR value, the ability to upgrade to swift springs, and the adjustability I'll have with any future wheelset I may purchase. Nick helped steer me toward these. Pretty sure he has them on his personal Z

Ok....,

It been a while so bare with me here. I had the car put away for the winter but it warmed up here enough to get the suspension done. Took lots of pics. It's still not real nice here and I gotta let these things settle before I take it out and get some good shots. The drive is awesome. Definitely better than stock. Super happy with that!

I also have to thank Nick at NuGen for helping me choose this set up and hooking me up with a great deal!!

Is it FRIGN' Spring yet!!!!!????????

I need a good rain to wash the salt off the road! Then I got a few things on the agenda

1. Set the Nugen BC's at a better ride height
2. Get my Duckbill up to A&M and paint/install it
3. FINALLY get my RJM clutch pedal in

My friend Marcin at A&M took our experience with my headlights to some new levels. I'm debating cracking them open again and doing some other cool stuff! He's also custom fabricated an all steel widebody 350z and is bugging me to do mine. Not sure I'm going to do that, but it's cool! He's also bugging me to make a twin turbo kit. Man! IDK, not sure I want to take that on either. Maybe leave that for a winter project! He just bought one of the old Hostess buildings and made a HUGE shop out of it. So if I do that, he's got the space for it over winter.

Looks really good. Thinking about wheel spacers?

also, any front camber or rear toe issues?

thanks man! Wheels are spaced 25mm front 30mm rear. I'm sure the camber is not ideal. It wouldn't hurt for me to get an alignment. But I don't drive the car a whole lot so I'm not in that big a hurry.

Wow! I didn't realize they were spaced so far. Doesn't look like you have rubbing problems in the front at least. Do you have any pictures from a sharper angle that shows how flush the rear wheel is with the fender? I'm surprised it's not poking.

I'm picking up coilovers, rear camber arms, toe bolts, and wheel spacers in the next week or two. Looking to go about your height. (align tire with fender) I haven't decided on front camber arms or spacers yet so I appreciate your journal! I was thinking of going 20mm all around until I saw yours!

theres some pics earlier before I put it on the coil overs and dropped it. They were dead flush with that spacing at stock height. The back is still pretty flush, but the front is in just slightly. I do have camber arms in the rear, but they are set at stock length till I get an alignment.

Got a little somethin done today! Marcin at A&M worked his magic and got the OEM spoiler off without breaking it. Then on with the duckbill!

Well....looks like I'm in for another Halo project. :( One of my halos went out. They don't sell that style anymore so looks like I have to do both. Going to make some other changes too I think.

Meulen 10-15-2015 07:20 AM

Well...

It looks like any major projects will be on hold for another season. Maybe get some time to do a few things this winter yet. Hopefully, wheels! But My Endurance Sports coaching business and team are growing, and I'm busy with that to say the least!! Next year I'm also doing Ironman Wisconsin, which is a major time commitment in itself. So...after Sept 11 2016 I should have time to concentrate on the Z again! lol:ugh2::ugh2::eekdance:

Resurecting this thread. Major projects back on!! no on the 40th. But I got something new coming!!! :yum::yum::tiphat::tiphat:

In the meantime. Cleaning up the garage, from a recent flood that ended up in junk migration from the basement, and situating the DD!!!

To be honest I'm a little dissapointed, because a project fell through with a Ferrari. But this next one will be more appropriate for here and also super cool!!!!

Meulen 05-03-2016 11:05 AM

New project ALMOST home and ready to start!!!

It's home! Time to start another build thread. Since this will be a complete restoration project there should be plenty of good stuff!! My FB friends don't seem to understand. Taking a lot of crap for taking this project on

this may take me a while!! This year is busy, next year I'm going cut back my Ironman racing to shorter Olympic triathlons and Sprints. That should free up my time. So probably get minimal work done till winter hits

Meulen 07-24-2016 03:36 PM

Haven't seen my 40th in a month! Training for Ironman and having my house renovated is seriously taking a bite out of my time. But!...My 240 is here in the garage and I had a few hours to get going on the prep work. Ever little bit of time counts!
