Stillen Gen 3. Just talked to my cousin today. He owns a powder coating shop. :) He's going to stop by with some samples on our next ride to match the car and take the pipes back to the shop with him. (Him and I do long training rides on the weekends, cycling) I have a feeling he'll be doing some more powder work for me on this in the future! :) :happydance: |
Gonna look great colour matched:tup:

So I got a little ambitious today. Ordered an Elm OBD2 wi-fi reader. Then purchase the Dashcommand app from iTunes Store.
I then searched for ways mount my iPad min on the dash. I have wireless on my iPad already so as an added bonus I also got navigation. So I found someone on the board that took the cubby door off and mounted it with strong magnets. I didn't want to compromise my 40ths interrior and noticed that if I took the door off I'd have to do some cutting to the door to put magnets on that and use it to cover the cubby when not using the iPad. I didn't want to do that. So I figured out a way to mount the magnets that the iPad just stays there with the cubby door open. So I took the dash apart and epoxy'd the magnets in the back of the cubby. Then placed the iPad where I wanted it and mounted magnets on that. Let me tell you. This thing is not going anywhere. I took it to an industrial park and did some 0-60 launches and it stayed in place flawlessly. I was pretty proud of myself for this. It really adds a lot of functionality to the car and really makes the dash look high tech Oh....sorry I missed cars and coffee again guys but this was the only time I had to work on it. 😎 http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/28/usasydy3.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/28/varetuqy.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/10/28/a5ebagej.jpg I took a bunch of pictures so if anyone sees this and thinks there's some interest in a DIY LMK and I can make that happen. |

I'm really loving the ipad. :) The dashcommand app is a lot of fun too! I'm going to have to find an industrial park to rip out some 0-60 and 1/4mile runs with it. At least to get a good baseline for mods. I think I'm going to relocate the wi-fi dongle though. It didn't get in the way of my feet or anything but I can see accidentally kicking it and breaking the thing. Talke to my shop Sunday. He took my front lip with him to clear the carbon fiber and start prepping the sides for paint. I decided not to give him the bumper yet, hoping I might get another week or two to drive it! :excited: |
FI CBE and HFCs ordered. #887! This is going to be a test of patience! Lol 😃

They are calling for snow this week here! So I took the opportunity to take the bumper off. I sent that and my lip to the body shop today.
While I had things apart I took ended up installing the red Z1 hoses I got from Wiggins. They look great! But I'm going to wait till the CAI and electrical wrap is done to show off the little jewel under the hood! 😜 I also took the headlights out so can get to work on those over the winter. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/11/5y9y6yga.jpg |
