That's awesome you must be pretty smart yourself with that game plan.

MAn I had my bumper off yesterday and as soon as I looked at the headlights, I instantly thought of you:roflpuke2:
I didn't have the guts to do them over again:shakes head:
Maybe once I finish my side skirts, I will attempt to make my headlight's look as good as yours:tup:
Great job brother:tiphat:

thanks! I'm not going to say it was real easy. You have to cut the outer lip of the diffuser to bring down the gap because the mating surfaces are staggered. I still left a slight gap in my, but it's hard to tell. After you cut the hard part is block sanding it straight so the mating surfaces are even. I was lucky I had some body work experience passed down from my dad for that!

edit* forgot about your bubbling question. :) I tinted the lens but it didn't turn out very good. It was difficult for the painter to get an even coat on curved surface. So I took the tint off. Ultimately, I decided I don't drive the car that much so it's not sitting in the sun every day. I think using the high quality automotive paint was enough. If it bubbles, I'll take them apart again and re-tint those lenses. Then wetsand them till everything is even. I think they'll be ok though

I'm hearing that doing the diffusers sets back the lens more and helps with keeping the lens from boiling the paint too. I'm also considering replacing my 6k headlights with LED headlight bulbs. It's a little pricey, but would really keep the heat down in there.

Had kind if a crappy day today! Actually a bad weekend. Had a flat tire on my wife's car and a trans sensor go bad on my daily driver. Spent way too much time on that!! I did get time to change my oil, and install my short throw shifter and TWM weighted shift knob. I still need to find a way to tie the leather to the knob better though. I got a bunch of good pics with the DSLR too bit didn't have time to upload yet.

I have to mention the AMS short throw was kind of a mess. No instructions with the product. They assembled it wrong from the factory and I had to take it completely apart to get it working again. That caused all sorts if problems figuring that out during install. Finally got it though and it works great now.
