ooh update everyone...

He apparently does read his e-mail.
As my CC company has informed me they have contacted him.
And consequently my access to their server has been shut off.
But again, no communication.
"We just fixed, the glitch..."

You should post this in your thread in the Tuning section.

11/17 - First Contact, asks if auto or manual trans... working on file!!

osbornsm 11-20-2015 09:01 AM

11/17 - First Contact, asks if auto or manual trans.
11/19 - First tune applied to car. There's supposed to be 4 tunes... but this is a "tester".

I'm getting check engine lights all over the place.

I will still be required to data log some driving on the street and submit that for tweaking, to resolve the CELs i'm getting.

The saga continues...

Thanks a lot bro! i hope to track the Z again in January 2016 soo any recommendations are going to be great ;)

I definitely recommend finding a set of the stock sport Rays and increasing the size of those R888s! Great tire. I used a 275/40r18 square setup and liked them. Going with 295/30r19 on four rear stock rays for this season I think.

Yeah but running 19's on race tires @ 275 is friggin expensive!!

18's take hundreds off the tire price... but also limit tire width...

:shakes head:

PharmDZ 11-23-2015 10:15 AM

It says you spent $950 on your R888 - they have the 295/30r19 r888 for $1050 currently. Not all that bad for another 2 inches of tire a corner up front and an inch in the back. What organization limits your tire width? Or are you talking about the front fenders limiting width?

That is one of the reasons that i mode to 18"wheels... PLus here in PR finding 19" tires is a PITA I spend 1 month tying to find new tires for the 19"wheels with no luck... :shakes head:

My only limitation on tires at the moment is the width of the wheels i'm using.
- I have base 18" for track wheels

A set of 19" wheels and tires would be prolly $2k. eek

PharmDZ 11-23-2015 11:13 AM

You can find the stock sport rays for $600 for a used set - just have to look around. Keep an eye out! You'll like the setup a hell of a lot more. I ran 245's on the front my first autox season and the car plowed like crazy. I was also on stock tires, not something sticky like the R888. Our car tends to like a square setup with a big ole tire up front though. Just a suggestion :)

What's the off-sets?

Hotrodz 10-11-2017 09:31 PM

You might want to consider 315 30 on the rear. I am running them on 18x11 wheels and the car is planted and fitment is spot on. I am running r888 295 on 18x10.5 and they fit nicely but I think they will be little stretched on an 11" wheel.

Innnteresting thought...

I have Summer wheels 305 on 11", wasn't sure how wide the R888 ran.

Weird tho, no 305 for the Toyo's.

Hotrodz 10-12-2017 08:52 PM

Yeah, I tried to get 305's and they were not available so I ended up with 295's. I order r888r's in 315 and they have been on back order since August and I have no idea when they will be available. I lucked out an got a set of used Nitto's nt01 in 315 and they are awesome. I can feel difference in the sideways and responsiveness. Toyo claims the r888r will be the same width as the nt01's and the tire compound is supposed to be the same or very close to the same.

osbornsm 10-18-2017 03:32 PM

Interesting tire options for R-comp tires in 18" size.

Wanted 265/305, but maybe getting 275/315...

DECISIONS!!!

:yum:

p.s. updated master parts thread with new buys.

No they are not making them anymore. The R888 are being replaced by R888R and the R888R does not come if 305.
