Kinda hard for me to compare...its like apples and oranges because one was recline-able and one is bucket seat. The quality of Status is top-notch though.

Great setup - car looks awesome.
How is your driving position in the Status seats? Any fitment problems along the way with them? I ask because I've always had my eye on a pair. |

I tried Bride FO rails but they are too narrow; I've read on here that people have had success with the FO rails on the "Ring" seat, but not the "Ring GT" that I have because its wider. Next I'm going to try the Buddy Club rails from a friend who has a set to see if those can lower the height.

Status seat update: So I picked up a pair of Wedge seat brackets to replace the crooked/leaning Planted brackets....WIN! They are totally level and LOW. They fit the Status Ring GT seats perfectly so now I'm sitting nice and low, level, and the sliders adjust nice and smooth.

So I was cleaning under my car last week and saw this:
I think its only been like that for a couple weeks or so, but I hate knowing that something is broken on my car, so I decided to fix it. I read up on all the rear differential bushing DIYs I could before deciding to tackle it myself: I figured since I had to pull the diff out to put in some Whiteline bushings, might as well change to the Nismo finned cover. Pulling off the old cover this is what the Quaife LSD looks like installed....that fluid stinks. Getting the diff out wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be....hardest part for me was either getting all the drive shaft and axle bolts loose or getting the rear diff bushing out so far. This damn bushing was a pain in the butt at first, but a Sawzall made quick work of it and got it out in less than 20 minutes with the help of an air chisel. All I have left to do tomorrow is put the new bushings in...maybe clean up the underside and tweak a couple things.

Well I finished up today and it was pretty quick as soon as I figured out a way to squeeze the new rear bushing in. I ended up just using a bar and using leverage against the frame to push it in. Nice shiny new Whiteline elastomer rear bushing and Nismo finned diff cover.
Shot of the front bushings...they were easy to put back in too. I also just used a normal floor jack and CAREFULLY maneuvered the diff back into position. While everything was off the car and it was elevated, changed out the diff fluid and oil/filter too. I LOVE the Motul bottles...so ingenious with the pull out spout, I didn't even need a pump/tube to refill the diff fluid. I had enough room with the exhaust out of the way to just pour it in the diff straight from the bottle. Its stupid windy/rainy outside so the test drive will have to wait till tomorrow. I'll post up my street driving impressions later.

So far driving impressions are AWESOME. I must have been driving with a busted bushing for longer than I guessed, because I think I got used to how sloppy/loose the drive train was. I've had to relearn how to drive it. Clutch engagement is more consistent and precise. Shifting seems more solid. Everything overall seems more solid and it feels like most of the slack/looseness is gone. Its only been a day or two and I'm still getting used to the different but much better feel. I haven't noticed any increase in noise or vibration, but my car was already not very quiet to begin with lol (NVH). If you can do this install yourself, I'd say its awesome bang for the buck and well worth the relatively cheap cost of the items. I also like the look of the Nismo diff cover :P

Has not been my DD for several months now and had it for 3 years now. My DD is a '04 Prius I LOVE this Prius.
My wife drives a '14 Juke Nismo RS 6-speed. Thats a fun little vehicle too...she traded in her Jeep Grand Cherokee for it.
