Cool thanks. In the next few months I'll need to get a bumper prepped and painted also and just wanted to get some shops to check out :tiphat:

What's up man. Were you at the Dyno show down at CES motor sports a few months ago? I think I talked to you for a few minutes because I have a 370 and I was looking into turbo kits. We exchanged forum names but my memory is horrible haha

Yup, still loving my setup after several months, daily driven. Here's a quick vid messing around w/ the GoPro and trying out different microphone mounting locations:

Sweet video! Can you link me to mic setup?

Very nice! My favorite part was the "mic mounted in engine bay" segment. Sounds absolutely sinister!

Gregor12 03-17-2014 12:03 AM

holy **** dude, sounds so mean. the setup seems to be very responsive and pulls hard! if youre going to z days i have to get a ride along in the car. im seriously considering boosting mine lol funds are almost there :D

MidnightBlueZ 04-28-2014 06:11 PM

What exhaust are you running Dan?

Mr.Squeeze 04-28-2014 06:23 PM

Nice sounds good:tup:

FireDan50 04-28-2014 06:26 PM

The rear portion is the Greddy Turbo Ti-C...but the front portion had to be modified to "Y" connect to the single turbo downpipe. You can kind of see what I'm talking about the "front portion" in this pic:

MidnightBlueZ 04-28-2014 06:57 PM

Right I am running the kit as well, sorry I should've been more specific lol. Yeah I meant the back section that connects to the down pipe/mid VSR provides. You running the single TiC from a 350z? Any pics?

FireDan50 04-28-2014 08:20 PM

Im running the standard dual Greddy Turbo Ti-C rear portion so it looks the same.....only modified the front to keep it

MidnightBlueZ 04-29-2014 08:22 AM

Gotcha, yeah I'm throwing around ideas.. I'm looking at going with a Tomei single setup from the 350z. My downpipe goes into my factory mid pipe at the moment so it's a single flange.

FireDan50 08-14-2014 10:11 AM

So I've had this set of Enkei RPF1s collecting dust while I saved up for tires. I finally got some Nitto tires and mounted them...just finished the front...might do the rears tomorrow. I took the time to raise the coilovers just a little bit because I was tired of scraping.

So the old set up was Volk GTS 19x9.5 and Michelin Pilot Super Sports 255/35/19 (54 pounds). New set up is Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 and Nitto NT555 275/40/18 (49 pounds).

I'll have more pics up as soon as i get the rear suspension raised, and wheels/tires mounted.

sick stuff... one can dream lol

FireDan50 08-15-2014 06:24 AM

Okay so I got the rear tires; mounted and weighed them to compare against my old set up:

Old: Volk GTS 19x10.5 + Hankook Ventus RS3 305/35/19 = 59lbs
New: Enkei RPF1 18x10.5 + Nitto NT555 DR 305/35/18 = 50lbs

I think thats a nice weight reduction in rotating mass. Here's what it looks like now:

Meaty and grippy goodness...its nice to have good traction in the back now when boosting :D

zefaulter 08-18-2014 04:41 PM

Gotta love that setup! Looks great

Mr&Mrs 08-18-2014 04:52 PM

Looks like a beast!

FireDan50 08-21-2014 02:16 PM

SSoooo...I suck at drag racing...for now haha.

Finally got the Z out on a drag strip for the first time boosted and I need more practice!! Car ran perfectly: tires sticking, clutch grabbing, water/oil temps good, boost holding, but driver sucked! As you can see in the video, I NEED to work on the LAUNCH...having a hard time finding the happy medium between bogging off the line and spinning tires. I was experimenting between 3K-5K rpm and tire pressures from 20-25 psi. Was also going back/forth between staying in 4th and shifting to 5th at the end of passes. I've had an issue with maxing out the MAFs at redline when tuning so I was being conservative with going into higher rpms, but car ran great past 7K...thinking I can take it a little longer in gear next time.

Got in only a few decent passes; fastest times were:
60' = 2.122
1/4 mile = 12.448
MPH = 120.03

DEFINITELY room for improvement!
Approx conditions were 84F, 83% humidity, 30.00in barometric...it was stupid hot/humid...perspiring like crazy and stupid gnats/bugs everywhere. Would definitely like to go back when its cooler for more practice.

awesome build Dan

FireDan50 10-19-2014 11:22 AM

Progress....got a deal on a Seibon TS hood but didn't like the full carbon look, so painted it. Traded the RPF1s for NT03s because better offsets...

nom nom nom looks good bro!

synolimit 10-19-2014 10:26 PM

Why the better offset? I have the same rears, they fit good. The front I went with a +45 with a 20mm spacer so +25 overall. I'm guessing you had the +15's?

Yup, for the RPF1s they were +15 offset which poked out a lot in the front, but the rears were good. These are a +27 offset in the front.

Kinda hard for me to compare...its like apples and oranges because one was recline-able and one is bucket seat. The quality of Status is top-notch though.

Great setup - car looks awesome.

How is your driving position in the Status seats? Any fitment problems along the way with them? I ask because I've always had my eye on a pair.
