That is what I thought, saw the red piping and figured it was that car.
Yeah, that kit was barely ever ran so you got a basically new kit.

Yeah he only had it for maybe a 1000 miles or so. I thought i got a good deal on it so totally worth driving to houston for it. The only part of it i kept the same as he had it is the red on the manifold

Yeah, all the red came from the previous owner (Dan) who did the red/black theme for the kit. Johnny got the car and basically ripped the SC off and did a single T quickly.

LukasC 04-22-2014 11:05 AM

Oh really? I thought it was his car from day one lol. He made it seem like he had done all the work to it. Cuz JTran said they had it all coated red for him. Hmm idk.

theDreamer 04-22-2014 12:43 PM

The work was all done by JTran for the previous owner.

Missed the dyno update somehow, man those are killer numbers. I like seeing successful Stillen builds.

Thank you! Its coming along pretty good! Got a list of stuff planned for it over the summer!

Talked with my tuner today he actually suggested putting the stock cats in. Said that with superchargers the back pressure helps alot. Hes seen a couple psi increase doing so. I might do that here soon see how it goes.

Also ordering the frozen boost intercooler and some "Mo Cool" made by motul. This should keep the air 30+ degrees cooler

Remember with a SC it is about balancing efficiency of everything, a lower boost result does not mean less power it just means the system is running more efficiently. I see it all the time with Mustang guys, they have LTH and go from 10 to 8 psi but maintain power because the system is operating better.

Also, with your plans of e85 and other upgrades I would advise keeping the stock cats off as this will hurt later on. Plus stock cats can burn up and get clogged, have had a couple go out on mine with my SC so just threw on some TP.

Hmm thats a good point. Ill have to research some more on it. But that makes sense. Headers are going to increase scavenging and so do tp so the air gets pulled out quicker but during the compression process it will have a more pure mixture versus some already spent gasses like co2 and co that take up that space in the mixture. Clearing it out will reduce pressure but will make for a more pure mixture to burn.

Also speak with your tuner about VVEL in Uprev, many shops have been tuning with it for awhile now and this might help with a SC and allow better control of air in/out of the system to optimize the setup especially with an open exhaust system with minimal restrictions.

Yeah i dont think he touched vvel. Im not sure hes too familiar with it since its a pretty new thing. I know jtran is doing it but not sure if jms is. Ill ask him. Have to make a stop by there friday before nismofiesta

LukasC 04-22-2014 06:05 PM

Heck if jms isnt comfortable i could just go straight to uprev its only an hour and a half from my house

jlo370z 04-22-2014 09:23 PM

Final preparations for nismofiesta coming together. Got the sideskirt fixed and i touched up a couple things which didnt turn out good but its better than before lol. Supercharger is holding up good and final thing is the engine strut brace. Jms should have the spacers by tomorrow ill get them on my way to san marcos.

LukasC 04-25-2014 01:46 AM

Just ordered the bigger front mount intercooler from frozen boost! Should help out alot with the kit!

LukasC 04-27-2014 06:56 PM

Nismofiesta was a blast for those who missed it!! Nissan brought out the Nismo GTR!

I placed 2nd place in the best of 370z class!! Probably 50ish 370z's there and a total of atleast 300 cars there in general!

Track day was absolutely badass! My car was running really well i lapped everyone in my group starting in front and coming around and passing them all! Super beast little car and that supercharger pulls u out of the corner really fast!

Galeforce finished making my a pillar gauges and ill be getting that here soon! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/14/zu7abyna.jpg thats mine hes showing me the fitment on his car.
Also i am trying to figure out this intercooler thing so i can get it installed asap.

Thanks man yeah i was in blue 1 i think. I was lapping everyone in my group lol. Second heat i started in front and came around and lapped everyone again by the end of the heat! Maybe why u didnt see me? Or maybe it was my stealth bomber attributes lol

Just got in my dual A-Pillar gauges! And they look amazing! Thank u Jason aka galeforce! Cant wait to get this installed as well as the intercooler!

LukasC 05-27-2014 03:08 AM

Loving the A-pillar gauges! They look like they were there since the day the car came off the assembly line! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/27/bedusyje.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/27/7ubapy8e.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/27/a3adeza9.jpg boost gauge install was pretty straight forward but im having some issues with the AFR gauge since i need to weld a o2 sensor into the exhaust for wideband idk how to do that so ill have my shop do it sometime in the next few weeks at the same time the intercooler goes on!

Won 1st place at a car show on saturday for import class! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/27/uza9y7uz.jpg

You know i havnt decided that yet! I might just swap the ones off the new nismo onto mine since they come blacked out from the factory. Also with the bigger intercooler going in its going to have a big shiny silver mouth which kind of matches the headlights. So maybe we shall see but its on the wishlist to have demon eyes!
