You plan on selling it in 3 years to someone who will put a turbo on it?

You know how many of your cult members you pissed off??? lol After dragging them out of there Z's and into a mustang, now you're back in a Z. I guess Ford gave you your kickback check and you cashed it so your obligations are done!!!
Anyway, congrats on the ride. I still don't understand why you didn't wait for the Z35 after reading this thread? But it's a DD, so who cares anyway right? Good luck with your Z.

I still contend that the 5.0 is the faster car all around, but I had my fun with that car so no point in getting a S197 again. Z34 on the other hand... my 2009 was nothing short of a disappointment, so I wanted to come back and "do it right" since it seemed like Nissan fixed everything they needed to fix to make it a good DD. Short answer on the Z35 is... I like the Z34 enough not to wait around for ~2 years until the Z35 launch (and who knows what it will turn out like.) I was NOT going to daily drive my S2000 any longer than I had to! Plus, who knows, if I waited for the Z35 to come out I probably would have just bought the C7. In the end this is what works, and I'm happy with it.

I am kind of bummed about riding around on these RE050As... They are OK, but once you've run PSS you never want to run anything else. I just don't feel like spending $1600+ on tires when these have lots of life left in them, so I guess I'll just :dealwithit: for now.
Can't wait to have PSS on this thing, though.

PSS... mmm. I'll probably end up swapping mine this summer even though I should wear these down.

3.7 v6 @ 332 overrated hp (326) and 270lbtq @ 3320lbs. I'm sure the mustang is the faster car. Faster doesn't always mean better. That said. The stang is a much improved car since 2011. It's only getting better. I think both camaro and mustang for the next gen are slightly more exciting redesign cars than the Z. So many rumors flying around there that it's just nuts. Z35 rumors are hum drum and the Z may or may not be a better car in the future??? Unlike the Z, We're seeing proof in the muscle car refreshes that the next gen muscle will be hard to beat on all levels. power, handling and quality. But as it stands right now. The slower Z imho is the better car. Quote:
I'm seriously contemplating HKS hi power. Dont know about spending 2k on an exhaust but it sounds like sex.

On the HKS... it is a really nice sound. A long time ago we had someone at our Z meet with the HKS Hi-Power... VERY sexy sound! I'll agree with that. It's a sexy car with some really feminine lines.

I know you are looking at picking up Invidia as a quiet exhaust. Though it's nearly 2x the price for the whole thing, I <3 my Tanabe.

We have a member locally with Tanabe... sounds great.
Any drone, at all? If it drones *anywhere* I don't want.

Mine has long tubes and a HFC attached to the Y pipe. So yes, mine does in the 2300-2600 rpm range. I can't tell you it doesn't because I haven't heard it without long tubes. I really don't see it droning though. Pipes are 2.5" and the Y pipe merge collector is 2.75", has 18" resonators and Advantex packing in the cans.
