Repainted front end and roof (at long last). The facia was beat to hell. The roof had bird poop burn from previous owner

I left the fangs bare plastic. (They were previously plastidpped) I think it looks pretty good.

Also added some 3m to the first few inches of roof as it was a bit chipped from last 60k miles.

Installed 3m Scotchgard PRO film on the newly painted front Facia. What a PAIN!!! Whew! It came out okay though and now I'm not dreading the inevitable chips!

How hard was the installation? I just got in 12"x48" to test. Afterwards I'm gonna try and find one 48" to do the hood with.

I used a precut kit and it worked great. It's definitely a 2man job though. Not quite professional as its my first attempt but better than I feared. The fit was perfect but required about an hour and a half of sweat cussing and a bit of stretching. The facia is a pretty complex shape for one piece. I'd either get a kit like I did or leave it to the pros.

I can put in the pan myself I'm sure but the wiring on the fuel starve fix has me a bit nervous so if I get it installed that's a lot more overtime!!!

Failed Emisions with the test pipes on (only barely though).

So... Took of my pipes and tried to install my JWT high flow cats. Only (oops) the bolt pattern on the flange on my (Z1 400 hp kit) down pipes is different than JWT HFCs.

So, what a hassle I ordered the z1 cats, bolted them them up, passed emissions and am now bolting my test pipes back on.

The good news is that next year at Emisions/registration time I will at least have all my parts on hand.

So I'm registered again for another year.

Lost my clutch pedal at the track. (I suspect there was some moisture in the fluid which lowered the boil temp).

The pedal came back once everything cooled down on my drive home (reinforcing the wet fluid theory)

Sooooo. I bled the clutch. (And my brakes for good measure)

Now everything is working again.

Lesson learned is bleed all my fluids prior to starting the track season or run the risk of exploring some usually unused portions of the track. (i.e. The overruns)

Also I learned it's easy to round off that friggin bleed nipple unless you use a socket to initially loosen it up for the bleed process. (Fortunately, replacement nipples are cheep and readily available at the local auto parts store, good luck getting it in without draining all your fluid though)

Edit. In case you are wondering I run the Zspeed upgraded CSC. In a panic at the track I ordered the Z1 clutch CSC removal mod/kit and now have it on hand.

I'm torn about putting it in as I've not had any problems until now with the stockish CSC setup. On the other hand I know a fork style setup is probably better for keeping the system cool during hard track style use. Such a pickle. It the end it comes down to no wanting to crack open my clutch unless I really need to, and not wanting to mess up the pedal tune which took me so long to get right.

I'll keep the parts for the next time I need to mess with my clutch. (The kit is really cool)
