I popped on my 255/285 PSS for summer! They are really nice. These ones will be saved from track use by my square 275x18 Toyo RA1s which are still hanging tough with a few dozen heat cycles. (HUUUUUGE improvement over street tires both in terms of wear and lap times.)

No more running streets, especially 1200 dollar sets of PSSs on the track for me

... Yes I'm up to 3 sets of rims now. Summer, winter and track. (OEM, powder coated OEM, and 18x9 squares.)

Back to winter tires (OEM rims Pilot sport all season 245/275s )and and ceramic brakes (HP ceramics)

The Toyo RA1s are shot from about 10 track days so I'm remounting Toyo RRs (18x274 squares) on my track rims.

The Z has 80k miles and is still doing track days all summer. This is kinda like getting a new puppy ready as your older dog gets a bit long in the tooth.

I learned TON from tracking my Z about how I wanted to set this thing up.

SurfDog 03-06-2017 06:15 PM

Also. I Fiiiiinally put in Phunks fuel starve fix/pump and his older style (now) billet oil pan.

... the Z still has some track work ahead of her as I build up the Daytona!

I spend most of my time at the bottom of several deep rabbit holes
